I just don't like the thought of pretending that an existing player on the roster is going to have a drastically different season and having it be considered "an addition to the roster".
If he has a much better and great season. Great I love it.
I don't want it to be an expectation and an excuse to not go out and make the roster better. Jarmo did that stuff all the time because he loved his own draft picks like nobody's business.
Johnson was downright bad last year so its witin reason he should see some improvement but he also had a 19.5% shooting percentage 2 years ago. I'm not going to expect him to replicate that either.
Maybe he realistically falls somewhere in the middle. Is that good enough for this team? I'm not so sure, which is why we need additional acquisitions.
