Are we in Canada paranoid about 2026 or should we not be worried?

Canadiens’ Sam Montembeault has a serious case to make Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off and Olympic teams

"Sam Montembeault’s 47-save shutout to open up the 2024-25 campaign turned quite a few heads."

Lots of players arrive on the national team at 24-26, perfectly fine.
Interesting that you bring this age range up. Currently, the only player within this age range that is on Team Canada is Cale Makar.

Other players in this age range that could make Canada include Thomas and Suzuki. Dubois and Tippett would be reachs. Just goes to show how fallow those drafts were for Canada

Happy Thanksgiving !!!

October 14/24 :

* Is Quinton Byfield injured because he certainly is M.I.A.? 21 possible points in today's game and he got none of them - he was also a -3. Ouch!

* Brandt Clarke looking good with 3 assists, today.

* Sam Reinhart playing well with 3 goals in 4 games.

* LAF with a goal. Expect PPG this season.

* Calum Ritchie with his first NHL goal.
Laf needs to learn defense. Him and Panarin combined for a controller disconnected moment on the Wings only goal.

October 15, 2024 :

* Sam Reinhart with a GREAT start to 2024.

* Kent Johnson stepping up in Columbus - where are you Adam?

* Logan Stankoven making a case for the Calder.

* Wyatt Johnston heating up - Dallas is LOADED with young talent.

* Jordan Eberle !!!

Negatives :

* Shane Wright is M.I.A..

* I'm not sure who is worse... McDavid, Drai or Hyman. I cannot get over how BAD Edmonton is.

Yep that's the real issue, we had a gap and some injuries on top of it. Who knows what Kirby Dach is with a bit of a healthier path.

Corey Perry is single handedly putting Edmonton on his back - at the age of 39.
My God, where is everyone else?

Edit : Edmonton won in O.T. Thank God for small favours.

Meanwhile, team Canada:
"Hey I just met you, he're my number, call me maybe Samuel Montembault"
Not sure what that means but it made me laugh. It sounds familiar.

**

October 16, 2024 :

* Sid being Sid.

* Brandt Clarke looking good.

* Bobby McMann being a late bloomer.

* Max Domi is having a strong year.

* I keep forgetting Bowen Byram is only 23 - he is starting off strong.

* Is there anyone else on Colorado beside Makar and MacKinnon (and Mikko)? The team if horrible with them, I can only imagine how bad they be without their points.

* Dylan Guenther with his first assist of the season to go with 5 goals.

* Barrett Hayton (remember him?) coming out of no where with 4 goals in 5 games.

Negatives :

* Move your feet, Byfield. Good Lord, do something - he was awful against the Leafs.

* Buffalo has a ton of young Canadian talent but where are they?

Crosby is a marvel, best player on the ice tonight. With him leading a team into battle you always think they’re going to win, he’s such a mentality monster…. Canada will have by far the best leader at the upcoming tournaments
I agree. Father Time does not have Sid's number.

Malkin's hug on Sid after the O.T. goal made me smile - a couple "old" men, they must wonder where the time went.
