There was a lot of (over) confidence Emberson's small sample advance stats would translate into 2nd pair responsibilities & ice time. Bit surprised they've moved him out of third pairing but clearly they are trying to Rubik's cube a second pair fix with now flipping Nurse to 2RD and experimenting with Dermott on his natural side. Lurching closer to a 9-1-1 call to an unsigned veteran stopgap middle pair option Shattenkirk or even Schulz.

Nurse has played well the past several games. Let's see how this next reiteration of deployment of three rotating #7-8 guys goes.

Do think the Oilers win tonight. Real solid road game in Dallas until the dumb Stetcher penalty.

I understand that, my point was that this is a team when executing properly with positive effort and finish should be able to beat the next 5 teams if the breaks even out. It is not a flip of a coin.

He is a good coach. The problem with guys like him and Woodcroft is that they have no street cred in the room to hold vets accountable.
