I hope not. If this team is trying to get a guy who's done nothing but win (and had them battling for first in the NHL) fired it really does not bode well for us.
They slumped this time last from what I remember, they will get hot againwell what could it be then; theyve never had a bad stretch like this AND theyve added Tavares.
***If*** your core players are engineering a mutiny when they're still on their ELC's or one month into their new contract, I think your problem is less getting rid of your coach but may as well go back to square one of the rebuild because that's not a group of guys you're likely to get very far with without some serious maturation.
Though at the same time above average coaches are available nearly ever offseason: much harder to replace a core as young as skilled as the Leafs.
That said, I think some folks are making a mountain out of a molehill right now. It’s a slump, a very bad one, but it won’t last.
