Looks like Paul Fenton has been given the green light to do as he pleases whether that's a hockey trade or build for the future. As a fan of the Wild I can see us dangling players for prospects/picks. They could do this at the trade deadline, or at the draft this summer.

They are only in it because the West is so awful. With Dumba and Koivu hurt, they have little hope in the playoffs .

I don't understand why people think that suter and parise are the worst contracts out there...there are a few guys i would put ahead of theirs for sure (doughty/la, kopitar/la, weber/mtl and that's just off the top of my head.

The Wild are cursed as long as Ryan Suter and Zach Parise remain on the team. Even if they make the playoffs, they will never get far.

I would agree with this...why would the wild be giving up spurg and a 3rd for that return. Spurgeon is our best defender and has been for a while. Gonna take more than those prospects and picks to get spurg

With Parise having had back issues he likely finishes his career on LTIR. Suter has been a horse. Time will tell how it ends for him.
