Are the Kings the biggest frauds?

Kempe at D surely will help. The Kings have been exhausted since the 3rd period in G4. I expect a big push in game 6 but this was the domination that has happened for much of the past 3 series. LA will always have the refs on their side to make it a bit even.

I hope the narrative doesn't suddenly become the Kings were shit all along (to discredit what McDavid and Draisaitl are doing).

They were legit great on home ice this year and all the hockey people I heard from favored them over EDM. They were very hard to score on and they scored quite a lot themselves down the stretch.

I'm genuinely shocked by how fast and badly they're unravelling. The Kings were dominated start to finish tonight. Goaltending was the only reason it was a close game. You have to think EDM takes this thing in six now.

They are a team that tried to do a quick retool and try to win with some of their old guys but to many of their draft picks didn't live up to expectations. They are basically in the same position the flames were for most of the 2010's.

As an oilers fan I just don't get what Hiller is doing, Guy looks like a clown.

As someone who has seem some garbage coaching (Krueger, Tippett, EAKINS) he is taking the cake, like its hilarious how tired they kings are cause for some reason they are afraid to play young dynamic players who can make mistakes cause they are young. (brandt, turcotte) but yeah throw kempe out to play LD that will work.

If the Oilers play like tonight and how they played in the 3rd period and OT of game 4, then they could beat any team in the NHL.

Still need to close it out and one game at a time. Keep getting better and the way they’re able roll all 4 lines and D pairings is wearing the Kings down.

Not frauds. SOme of the guys don't seem to grow up though. Kempe always cocky as hell. Never acts like he has been there before. Byfield and his throat slashing gesture when they beat a shorthanded Oilers team in OT this year lol.

Edmonton is just better when they ramp it up as you have seen. Also, no Stuart Skinner in these last 3 games to gift goals left and right.

Their depth is overrated though. They play too many guys under 5 min and did I see Kempe playing D in the third? lol

This Edmonton team, with their goaltending, was as high as 3rd oveall this year and they got a sh** load of injuries before and after 4 nations and fell. Up to 8 regulars out in games, including 97 and 29. No Ekholm either for a long time.

Pickard has held up, but an absolute moronic decision for them not to upgrade goaltending

Imagine they had Keumper like goaltending even 2 games a series?

This is true, but the caveat is that they get any sort of halfway decent goaltending in any particular game. In a two month slog, with their tandem, it’s a big leap of faith to think it’ll happen consistently.

About to lose four straight playoff series vs Edmonton. What do they all have in common? They choked in every series.

Let's hope next year, they don't get the Oilers again. It's in their heads now.
Some teams just match up better against particular other teams, and the Oilers are not a good matchup for the Kings.

Having said that, the Kings should launch Hiller into deep space for losing two games purely due to trying to sit back on the lead for a way too much longer time than the Kings were anywhere capable of doing.

Probably the best roster we've had against the Oilers but we've been outcoached throughout. Can't have a lead 4 of 5 games going into the 3rd and be down in the series. Oilers made adjustments, Kings haven't

Series ain't over but of course nobody is going to give the oilers credit on here. They lost by a goal in game 7 to the champs last year, and they've only lost to teams that have gone on to win it all in the last 3 years.

Kings are a very good team but it's similar to Toronto when they were playing Tampa so frequently a few years back. They'll eventually slay the dragon and they still have a chance this year.

You just know that a certain fanbase who shall not be named will create the narrative that the Kings are a terrible defensive team, to discredit McDrai. They conveniently won’t mention the second best GA this season.
