They have taken 2 of 3 from ya'll this season and I know it's not playoffs but it could be more proof they are a better team then last season.Good bet Jets add more help too.Anyhow Colorado are a really good team as well, so it would be fun to watch them meet .

They swept us in the regular season last year.

They are the very definition of a regular season team. They dont know what finding an extra gear means. On the flip side, the Avs quite literally do not give a single shit about the regular season. They've very clearly been on cruise control in the regular season for about 4 years now. But the moment game 82 is over, the switch is flipped.

Avs would beat the Jets in 4 or 5 games again this year. Especially with Landeskog back in the lineup for game 1.

Jim Nill is way better. Chevy has yet to build a team that can get far in the playoffs, he has one of the worst minor league teams as well.
Nill is a top-drawer GM, but Chevy has a lot more constraints, particularly a much more limited trade and free agent pool and a less conducive tax environment to craft cap-friendly contracts.

LOL!
Every SC champion in NHL history lost in the POs until they finally won.
Including the Avs.
It is how champion teams learn how to win.
POs in 2025 against the Avs?
Jets in 5.
The Avs are no longer a contender. They are just getting older.

The Jets swept the Avs last season in the regular season, but had no answers against them in the playoffs. I would worry more about Dallas as an Avs fan.

Jets have the most cap space of any contender.
But may not do anything to major.
Adding for the sake of adding rarely works out.
Unless something big falls in our lap I think they add a forward and d more for injury insurance and hopefully to push one of our 3rd pair D to the press box (a certain tall lanky guy).

Jets should poach Petterson for a 3rd round pick would fix the center depth. He can play behind Lowry and do some 2nd string penalty killing.

Haha. This guy is back again?

Where did the Jets hurt you? Why are you so angry all the time. I’m sorry for what’s happened to you.

Living proof the hockey stats thread needs some rethinking.

Georgieve had a .957 vs the jets in the last 4 games of the playoffs last year.
he is a career .905

Avs got lucky, jets got sloppy Helle had a bad week.

you wanna bet on all that happening again?

Jets have had a very big chip on their shoulder this year.. To a man they are angry about last year.

i promise you NONE OF THE PLAYERS want to play the Jets… in any round.

its funny how the Winnipeg Jets are also one of the more rich teams in hockey based on owner and nobody wants to go there. Those guys play tough and tenacious on the puck, and work tirelessly to be a good hockey club. I genuinely wish they win the cup this year.

kinda…..

the Ownership group is really a partnership.
Chipman is really the day to day owner. and yeah he’s rich… but not crazy rich.
Thompson is the crazy rich guy…but really he owned the land the arena was built on and helped secured the loans and stuff… but Thompson isn’t waving blank cheques around for the Jets…

Chipman is the driving force for the whole thing.

HE made the deals to get the arena, the moose, the Jets, and all the rest. He’s the guy who lives in winnipeg? he’s the guy who bought up all the small investors and runs things.
he’s the guy who sets the budget.

lol.

where did the switch go in the second round then? Did the avs forget to flip it?

Stars punted the Avs’ pretty easily…

Face it Avs got lucky Jets had a bad week.

Right now the Avs are close to missing out, Vancouver is right behind and Calgary is almost close enough to jump in…

I guess that's one way of looking it at it lol

Last playoffs. The Jets clearly could not handle the Avs speed or their top players, Makar especially ran the show. They were chasing the play constantly, couldn't get sustained offensive pressure and were stuck in their own end way too much.

Goaltending could have been better. However, Helle was under siege and the Avs did a fantastic job screening him on many of the shots.

Luck had nothing to do with it. Doesn't mean history will repeat itself though

Funny how easy it is for recent Cup winners can explain away dips in regular season by saying “they don’t give a single shit”, like it’s some big realization hits them that the playoffs are what matter.
