WTF?

Are you guys actually serious?
Those takes are bad. No way I'd argue otherwise. Lots of bad takes on the other end of the spectrum. Realistically, I wouldn't trade him at this point. He's an interesting enough player to keep as his trade value has taken a hit recently. I'd rather keep him and risk him busting, than move him for even a 2nd. Big overpayment like a mid 1st? Sure, he's gone. That won't happen though.

I'm glad we have our NJ crew clogging up the thread, as usual. They sure add a lot. Not referring to you, obviously.

Xhekaj is gonna develop into Chara lmaooooooo. That guy is alone even on the Habs boards, I've been in an argument about that before, I thought he was drunk or something but I guess not.

Imagine thinking that for real. Xhekaj might become Chara. That is a looney tunes take in a sea of looney tunes.

Montreal should keep him. If Reinbacher & Hutson develop, they will be in need of a guy like Xhekaj to add some snarl. Hard to win with a charmin soft blueline.

If Xhekaj kept playing well like the past couple of games then I don't see the Habs trade him. Whether he fetched a 1st or not, is it really relevant when your team doesn't want to trade you?

Why is there so much discussion about the value of a guy who has difficulty cracking the top six of the worst d in the league?

I am not even being a hater. Yes, he is a tough guy and I like the player, but having a Dman as your enforcer is a bad idea. It doesn't add to his value.

I can certainly get on board with your take. The guy has size and a mean streak and if he can become a solid dman, (even bottom pairing) would be well worth holding on to. I’m not a hater at all, but was shocked at those couple of takes.

1. to be a crew you need at least three people. I suggest watching more heist movies
2. What did I even do?

you do know that generalizing a group of people based off the actions of one isn't a good idea right?

Why? Because the guy can be seen as a potentially highly valuable top 4 or as waiver fodder, and both outcomes are quite possible.

Thanks. I guess I don't see the top four upside and don't know what it might be based on.

He is youngish and biggish and he plays with an edge and some decent numbers but I also feel like he is getting his ice time on a very poor defensive team. I don't think he would crack many teams ' top sizes right now and at 23, that's an issue.

I guess there are a lot of people in here who can't read.

Chara drafted 56th

Check his stats at 23 with the islanders....82 games...9 points...157 pm

For 4 years he went nowhere with the Islanders and broke out with the Sens.

How old is Xhekaj? He may develop...or NOT. But the reaction is ignorant of hockey history. .

Reading is hard....

I will not agree with this. Having a physical player is a good thing. In the game against the Oilers, they were dominating the Habs then Xhejak nailed Hyman with a hard hit. The game started to turned around for the Habs after the hit. Having big, physical players is always a good thing, defenseman or not.

I think Mtl is at a point where it maximized the return for its assets. The period between now and the draft will be interesting because we should starts seeing KH combine those assets (for example, the multitude of picks we have in the top 40 at the draft) into packages for better assets.

I also think having wifi keeps youngsters in Laval whose development is better served with more quality minutes than can be given them in the big leagues. While i think a top 10 pick is worth way more than Wifi, I'd hesitate for this reason.

I anticipate any deal including Wifi would be a package for a promising prospect nearing (or at) the nhl level.
