Player Discussion Arber Xhekaj the Sheriff Returns Edition

To me he's too plain. Was watching last game and he bring no intimidation. Had no hits. He is more brave when Jack is there.
It's not a boxing match though. You want guys who defend well. He does that pretty well for a young blueliner.

I like X for his shot and his grit. But he makes more boneheaded plays. I think that will improve with time and I'd take him longterm over Struble but there's no guarantee that he'll be the better blueliner.

I don't think anybody on our team gains more from playoff hockey reffing than Arber, though. There's regular season arber and then there's Arber who is allowed to clutch and grab. I know who I wouldn't want to go into the corners with if given the choice.

Yeah, I'd never have taken him out of the lineup. To me he has more upside and is the guy I'd want to keep long term.

I'm stunned...just STUNNED that SMarty will take out our very own Greek God out of the lineup. :scared:

Didn't he have like 1364 hits in the last game? Shirely he had at least 12 goals! Assists? Where can I find the monument to his accomplishments?

It's reported elsewhere that he's lacing them. Unless he puts on a miniskirt and dances around the ice...he's playing.

I just hope he plays a dead simple game and sticks to basics. Nor start anything unless someone intentionally wants to hurt a Hab.

He will be on a short leash so i hope he is ready to play a simple, violent game.

A huge legal hit on Ovenchkin would make a statement
The problem is that the zebras officiating is so questionable that he may get a penalty for sneezing at Ovi.

He just has to dump him like a sack of shit and that will be enough to make him think twice. Of course Ovi has the option of dropping them and scaring X. No really, he can. (I hope)

If Xhekaj is on the ice with the Ovie line that could be problematic for a kid who hasn't played a game since April 6.
