Player Discussion Arber Xhekaj the Sheriff Returns Edition

I think the supposed issue about Xhekaj being bad defensively is overblown a bit. Yes, he is clearly not as good as Guhle but he does not have to do the same role. The issue is that the Capitals play a very heavy/physical game, this is Xhekaj bread & butter. If we were playing a team like Tampa Bay or Carolina this is a different story, you clearly bench him but if you don't use him and your team get bullied and you lose the game or worst get injuries then yes it is quite frustrating to watch as a Habs supporter. I do believe that if Xhekaj was there he would have taken out a couple of their players too. NHL is becoming less and less physical but in the playoff physicality is still relevant. Not using your most physical player in a physical serie is quite sad.

He is the only player not allowed to make a mistake. It's sickening.
I can see the rationale behind MSL's hesitancy in dressing Xhekaj.

If the Xhekaj is dressed, he will become a marked man by everyone in the building tonight. Particularly, the referees. In an effort to keep a lid on this game, I think the referees (who, at best, have been inconsistent in game 1) will cut Xhekaj little slack or latitude. These two teams are comparatively equal ( shows you what I think the Capitals' chances are of going deep in these playoffs) with most games well being decided by an imbalance of power plays awarded.

But if Capitals again try to run the Canadiens out of the rink again and win: all bets are off going forward.

Don’t bother some people here hate big nasty players with a booming shot and an ability to clear the crease. They prefer cupcakes like Newhook Armia, Dvorak and the rest of the fellas on the backend who can’t move a player. Struble bounces off of guys, his breakout passes are hilarious. Savard is on his belly most of the game. Too funny

This is now about the quality of the debate:

If you want Arber dressed: you know nothing about hockey and just want to see faces punched

If you don't want Arber dressed: you know nothing about hockey and are soft and weak

Did I miss anything?
I'm at the whether he dresses or doesn't, he's not tilting the ice either way, stage.
