Except Xhekaj won't counter Washington. Its not a single caps player that is playing physical. Its the whole team, so a single habs player isn't going to counter that.
The habs should also not try to play a more physical game than the Capitals because that's simply a battle they will not win. The caps are just a bigger and tougher team. The habs should focus on what they are good at which is speed and forecheck. We saw that in the last half of the 3rd period, and the caps had trouble dealing with it.
That said I would put Xhekaj in the lineup, but that's because he brings more to the table than Struble who is a bit vanilla.
Arber going in has 2 effects:
1. Physics. WIFI taking up space and battering anyone coming into his orbit protects part of the slot.
2. Morale. Even non hitting Caps are hitting and the hitters are who get them going. We need the same, especially in front of our net.
