Great AAV. Mixed feelings about term. His injury history will either be a factor moving forward or it won’t. I believe this keeps him RFA afterwards?

Hughes gets things done. Nice raise for Xhekaj! Still hard to fathom that this player went undrafted.
Yeah it's a good deal for both sides.
I still feel like he's a bit of a mystery box.
I think we mostly know what he is, but I feel like there is still a little more to figure exactly what we've got.

I like this bridge deal. I don’t believe he will ever be a guy that will make in the top tier of the league, I do think his next deal will be a long term deal buying UFAs years. Let’s see if he can put his game all together.

That’s good. He’s really going to have to step up to replace Harris and Struble. They made strides while he’s been injured. I love what he brings, but our depth will make it challenging

With the injury concerns, it's probably smart to go the short term route ATM. He'll get paid his due later if he can show he can be healthy. He's used to having to earn everything he gets the hard way, I think he'll react quite well to it.

If he does well during these two years, you then sign him to a 5-6 years contract at 3M$.
He will need to choose his fights more wisely and develops his other good traits.
