This will be the game that confirms that they have either found their killer instinct, or, reignites fans fears.

Based on last game and TBs resilience, this game should end 5-1 T.B. If however, the Leafs have found their hatred and commitment and REALLY want this series, they will get under T.Bs skin, force them to take bad penalties, and put them against the ropes with a victory. Just as they should have done last year.

Which Leafs team do we have in 2023?

I expect Marner and Matthews to be non existent and they’ll lose by 2 goals ( or 3 with an EN) and talk about being disappointed, but happy to have a split.
I've met peeps that use negative energy to try and gain the positive energy,...

Whatever works to turn the frown upside down...Go For It! GLG!

Agreed. This is where we find out if just getting a win and splitting is all we wanted or if we finally can try and squeeze the life out of them. We shall find out...but methinks it will be more like last year and we don't get it done because TB will want this game way more than the Leafs do.

Naw, he was just doing his job as peace keeper. Serg knows he was out of line going after Marner. That is the DNA of this TB team though, they are sore losers. The type that when I played sports I loved to beat.

These types of activities should inspire and motivate this Leafs team. Guys like Schenn, Acciari, ROR, GIO, McCabe et al will be there to back up their teamates and make sure T.B doesn't get away with B.S.

The rest has to be determined by the refs. The world is watching and they saw the shyteshow last playoff...

If my life depended on it, I would NOT take the Leafs tonight.

If they win this game though, it will convince me this team is real and will get rid of their long slump. I believed the Leafs would beat this team before the series began, so I hope they rise to the occassion.

Yeah, ACC1224 might be right.

Sure, Darren Raddysh is 27 years old and played hockey his entire life - but let's be fair. Where he grew up, in Toronto, Ontario, they don't speak english that well. He could have easily mistranslated tie up and grab from his native language of english. It's a fair point. :sarcasm:

What does english have to do with anything? It's a basic hockey term.

English is a language. It’s the language the basic hockey term you’re referring to is spoken in. A player who grew up speaking Russian for example may have mistranslated that.

Second, grabbing their sticks is not a basic hockey term. I’ve never heard anyone say it. No one says let’s go out there and grab their sticks in front of the net.

I forget that people will argue about the dumbest things here.
Enjoy the game.

Last year, game 4 was pretty much over by the end of the 1st. The players looked like they'd been lounging in the sun (from physical appearance and by lackluster play). I'm somewhat optimistic that tonight, we'll at least make Tampa earn everything as this team has such a different look than last year's team (I've been re-watching all the highlights and lowlights from all the games in last year's PO's).

GLG!

What was also fun in that sequence was Schenn initially grabbing Stamkos when the whole thing started, and Stamkos obviously wanting no part of him he skates away. I guess the humiliation of tucking against Schenn led him to seek out Matthews, who was doing nothing more than picking up sticks.

As for the pic posted, in the actual video you can see once Schenn gets in his face Sergachev's expression transforms into one part "I don't want to be here" and one part "if I stay completely still maybe the big bear will wander off of the campsite and leave me alone".

You know TB are going to come out flying in the first 5-10 mins. If I’m Keefe I’m throwing Schenn out there and matching the tone.
