He's not, he's playing 4D chess. Get the club to play to a level that even Skinner can win in goal and then always have pickard as the positive switchup when we need it.Woodcroft bet his career on Stu and lost.
Makes me wonder why Knob is doing the same.
I can’t stop laughing at this. Seriously. Is this what Oiler fans logic has come to? Skinner should be in the game because he cheered like crazy for a goal his team scored… even though he played bad?
He wasn't much and Kings scored 3EV goals against him in his first 8mins of play. This wasn't exactly what one would expect from a player playing his first playoff game. I would say he wasn't noticeable, except he was in a bad way losing puck battles and zone keeps. He was weak on pucks man. How is he not at fault on any GA when his coming back and back pressure in game was weak? How did he play bad? He generated 3 high danger shots. More than Nuge and all other forwards outside the first line. He wasn’t responsible for the goals scored while he was on the ice. Brown, Janmark, Podz, Arvidsson, Nuge, Frederic, did a whole bunch of nothing
Sure- what stats would you like to compare? Skinner is better in every facet.Uhhh no. Compare their stats. This is a terrible take. This bias and hatred of Arvidsson is disgusting
Arvidsson has been complete shit. No clue how anyone can say that he has been good or lived up to his contract so far. Weak AF on the puck.Uhhh no. Compare their stats. This is a terrible take. This bias and hatred of Arvidsson is disgusting
I miss him.Pretty crazy Mike Smith never had a sub 900 with EDM
0.902
0.923
0.915
A career .912
Hi last 2 playoff years for Edmonton? 0.912 and 0.913
A 0.924 career playoff average
Numbers Skinner probably dreams about
I would say Skinner is more hot and cold but he is more cold and lukewarmworst goal I've never witnessed live...the entire arena was in shock that went in...how the f*** do you let in a goal from centre ice lol
luckily Nuge saved his ass and we can laugh but that could've been a series turner
also cost us Game 1 against LA that same year with his atrocious puck handling, giving up the winner with like 4 minutes to go...never seen a goalie so hot and cold in my life
It's too bad we didn't get Mike Smith at least 5+ years earlier.I would say Skinner is more hot and cold but he is more cold and lukewarm
In none of the goals against was it his man that scored, he didn’t miss an assignment, and was in the right place. The shit show that happened behind the net- the third goal- McDavid was literally in the corner covering nobody and not close to the play. He also generated 3 high danger shots/chances. He wasn’t losing battles, he actually won his share and had 5 hits (one of his won battles resulted in a goal). Also note, this was his first playoff game. Brown, Frederic, Janmark, RNH, Podkolzin, Arvidsson, Hyman were all invisible most of the night. Could he be better- yes. Was he the worst forward- far, far from itHe wasn't much and Kings scored 3EV goals against him in his first 8mins of play. Swedish Yakupov. But unfortunately both him and Skinner got equally caved in game 1. They both still had better numbers than RNH and Hyman though.Arvidsson has been complete shit. No clue how anyone can say that he has been good or lived up to his contract so far. Weak AF on the puck.
