Pre-Game Talk: Apparently Skinner is starting Game 2

Arivdsson has 5 goals in his last 10 regular season games and Skinner has 2. Against the Ducks and Sharks. Arvidsson can skate without having to raise his arms in the air to get momentum.

I don't need metrics to see that there is quite a bit less risk in Arvidsson's game, all while scoring quite a bit more than Skinner has of late.
Arvidsson ended the year with less goals and points than Skinner while being stapled to Leon for a large portion of the season. Skinner got like a 4 games with mcdavid to end the season.

He did, but he was f***ing UNPLAYABLE the rest of the season, there's no reason to trust him, I don't care how much you base being mad a Stu now retroactively.

You guys and your blind spot for how horrendous Campbell was is infuriating.
Stuart had worse numbers in the playoffs than “unplayable” Campbell did in the regular season. In fact- unplayable Campbell had very similar numbers to Stuart this year.

Arvidsson is far grittier, a better skater, and has proven himself
Skinner was -2 in 11 minutes
+/- is pretty silly when your center is doing stuff like this:

(#9 scored)

Yet Arvidsson ended the season not being "stapled" to Leon and managed to score 5 goals in 10 games.

His atrocious play to start the year doesn't matter at the moment.

Arvidsson is a worse player than Skinner. It’s just a reality. Skinner is better than Podkolzin and Janmark too.
At what? Podkolzin and Janmark are built for the playoffs. Skinner isn't. Arvidsson/Skinner are both kind of useless for the playoffs. Only need one. If Ardvidson flops around again tonight swap him for Skinner. He's already on notice getting moved to the 4th line.

Yup, Campbell had a "problem" as now know and was unplayable for most of 2022-23, then came alive for his final two games if I recall correctly. His play in relief of Stu definitely earned him a start in the postseason, especially since Stu finished 26th out of 28 goalies in GSAx that postseason...yes, Stu was one of the worst goalies of the entire 2023 playoffs.

I completely agree with Campbell's demotion and buyout though. Is there anyone who doesn't? Or are you upset because people think Campbell deserved a bigger chance in the 2023 playoffs? Because every statistical measure agrees that he did and that Stu was a liability that postseason.

I don't care that he did well that one time, Stu is frustrating, Campbell was utterly untrustworthy.

because he inexplicably passed the puck to a King to start the sequence, then decided to go behind the net for unknown reasons, leaving Kempe all alone in front
He's right beside his man. McDavid is covering a photographer in the corner.

That's pretty basic stuff. And anyway, we were talking about Skinner's +/- on the play. What does the minus have to do with his play on that one?

Says the guy who literally brings random Twitter posts from nobodies to prove his points.

I think they'll take our Frederic, let him get up to speed in Practice, he looked a little apprehensive and I wonder if he's still sore.
The problem is that practice is nowhere near game speed, so I doubt that will help. He needs game reps, and although that may take some time, it is what it is.
