Looking to buy one of those home arcades that plays thousands of games. Curious if anyone had one and how much they liked it.

I'm worried that'll it'll be an expensive fad that'll lose its' charm quickly.

I tried out one at SML Entertainment a few days ago. I didn't buy it although it intrigued me. I think its worth would be determined on how much you love arcade games and how often you can have others over to share in the fun.

I am in the process of converting a Street Fighter 1UP machine to a Raspberry Pi emulator.

I passed by one them machines at Costco they sell a lot of them now in either retro arcade boxes or smaller ones at stores like that music store FYC or whatever

Honestly they are not my thing. I played them growing up but have no need for a retro Pac Man in my basement

Is that easy to do? Let us know how it goes!

It is. I have put it off till after Halloween projects are complete. It's mainly replacing the ROM with a controller board and replacing the buttons. Also adding a small amp for sound.
