I also remember the days when we had plenty of cap space because no one was worth paying.

That would be nice right about now.

I remember drunk posting a game versus the Wings once. I predicted Freddy Mo would get the game winner. He did. It was amazing. I used to drunken post a lot. Was so much fun.

I remember that even when we sucked in the early years, you never had to question effort. The first couple of years, though guys were obviously less talented, but worked their asses off. Now, I don't always see that and that's why this organization continues to suffer.

When we had no expectations of making the playoffs and only cared if we won the fights?

So much less stressful

Honestly, after Howson was fired and JD was brought on board, I was alright with waiting 2-3 years before we started getting decent, but noooooo, we had to play above our heads in the lockout shortened season, so expectations began to form.

Honestly as a Penguins fan I was expecting us to meet the Jackets in the playoffs and for you guys to sweep us. I was looking forward to the Jackets finally handing it to the Pens and making us look stupid for not drafting Saad along the way.

Now, we are both going to miss the playoffs and have to watch the f***ing Islanders and their stupid ass fan base talk about how they have the most underrated fourth line in the league.

I remember the good old days when I could, logically, understand our head coaches reasoning for doing something.

It took a bit longer than it did me for Richards to figure out that he needed to give Bob some time off to work with the goalie coach and get things together. Why it took a while to get Golo in is a complete mystery.

On a side note, he should have requested management bring up another forward and D from Cleveland so that he could sit a couple of players. On the plus side, Wennberg is back so Atkinson and Boll got the night off.

Unless he whacked a couple guys in the ankle so we could put them on IR there wasn't room. Upon further review that might work.

There was a time we were 1 over on D but forwards were even (when considering IR). Remember we called up Rychel for like 10 seconds?

I remember the good ol' days when they used to have fist fights on the loading dock and MacLean would make trades just because he felt like it and when guys like Alexandre Picard were roadblocks to acquiring players like Chris Pronger.
