As someone in architecture/construction field, I like the idea that they are giving you a behind the scenes look at how everything was constructed. Its something you don't get to see with most buildings in the city unless your on the job site or working the directly with the contractors.

However, what I don't like is the "propaganda" aka the constant stroll down memory lane. It adds nothing of value or substance to the program. Instead, why not add interviews with the architect /designers of the project that explain why and how they came up with the design solutions for the renovations.

Very true.

I saw a preview where one of the construction workers was talking about how his NYPD cop father used to take him and the rest of his family to Rangers/Knicks games.

That was back when a guy on a cops salary could afford to go to games. They are truly nothing more than memories.

Something tells me if the Rangers do move to a new stadium, the organization will still be talking about the old MSG like it was yesterday. "Back in 94, I was sitting in the same section and seats watching the Rangers lift the cup"

have you seen what cops get paid ? I dont think anyone in the NYPD is worried about paying for Rangers Tickets.

Not to mention all the perks. At Citi field there are parking lots that are almost always empty. Those are specifically for Cops and firemen.

Between promotions and overtime cops are pulling down some serious money.

After 5 years on the job and not counting overtime etc base salary is 69k. Making almost 70k means you can afford to take your kid to a game no problem

Im a die-hard Rangers fan and a St. John's graduate, yet I havent stepped foot in the Garden since they broke ground on the renovations. Thats how committed I am to not putting money in Dolan's pocket.

Im not dense enough to think that a lot of others will follow suit, but it is the only way we'd see any meaningful change

Dude you're a rebel. Makin' a difference!

I seriously do not mind the marketing promos for the MSG renovation. They did a great job and it's a great place to watch games. I get a little nostalgic for the old bulding from time to time, but that's just change. Time marches on. The building was going to change one way or another.

The propaganda I hate is the player profiles that have now started with players who have only been with The Rangers for a very short time. This is just BS. Do they really think anyone is buying this? I like Dorsett, but does he really deserve a freakin' documentary already?

and Jon Moore? Com'on. That's propaganda!!

There is some good and some bad of the Dolan era MSG programming wise. Hockey Night Live, The Vault, Rivalries, things like that are cool. The idea of Beginnings is cool too, but there's so much junk that can be filtered.

Now that Boomer and Carton are moving to CBS in the Mornings, even less real programming.

I'm just really tired of them showing 1994 for either the Rangers or Knicks 24/7. We get it. We've seen it so many times. Time to put it away for five years. No more 94 references please either. I don't need to see where Rudy Guiliani was sitting and what was on some random Sopranos actor's mind that moment.

Some of the most fun I've had watching MSG during the summer or down time is when they showed the Rangers-Kings playoff brawl from 1981, and also during the first lockout when they showed the 1986 playoff run, or last year's lockout when they showed the Rangers-Islanders from December 1985. I know the Rangers weren't good in the mid 80s, but it's fun to show games like that. Show game 6 of 1981 vs. the Kings, or vs. the Flyers in 1979. I love Jim and Eddie at Blueshirt Underground but we shouldn't have to rely on The Mouth's archives solely to see things like Game 5 at the Islanders in the 1979 playoffs which is a remarkable game and an underrated playoff performance in Rangers history.

I'm also tired of certain celebrities like the Sopranos cast, Spike Lee, John Lenguinzamo always on MSG. We get it, they're Nu Yawkas. Wonderful.

I miss the days of guys like Bob Page who while he could be incredibly nasty, wasn't afraid to give his opinion or call something for what it was.

I do appreciate guys like Ron Dugauy, Anson Carter, Marty Biron, and even Ken Daneyko on the air. Those guys all do an excellent job.

And also the Ranger Town, Blue United, True Blue, fans screaming "I am a Ranger" BS..I miss the old days where hockey is a blue collar game without all these commercials between face offs, TV timeouts and periods. As to the new garden, the seats are just too cramped. Sight lines are better.

I cant wait for J.B. Smoove!

J.B Smoove is fine. I do like how he has different people on his show like the lady from Curb Your Enthusiasm (she once did a really wacky video with Rod Gilbert if you can find it).

At least they're trying something different.

The problem with comedy shows is it's gonna be heavily censored because MSG doesn't do cursing. It is what it is I guess.
