Will he try to acquire more picks
It’s starting to feel like some of our past failures are catching up with us.
And watch what the return is for Holl, people here pumping his tires with certain stats, watch how the paltry return doesn’t quite jive with it all.
Kerfoot should be an okay return, he’s a useful player at times.Kerfoot as well...
If we get a 5 for mik we're extremely lucky. Rights are not worth very much especially for someone expecting a large pay raise
I feel like that will be one of the more entertaining days of the summer. It’s starting to feel like some of our past failures are catching up with us.

Well good news is da 3 Russian scouts are no longer with team .. contracted by Florida now .. my guess is leafs decided da strategy was not working out as planned .. i highly doubt we even take one Russian .. if Beck lasts to 25 I think he will be our pick but there are 3 other teams before us in draft interested in himI would assume we trade down
Watch for us to have a very Russia heavy draft if we get a bunch of midrounders. as it appears that half the teams are not going to touch that place with a 10 foot pole
Kerfoot should be an okay return, he’s a useful player at times.
Our prospect pool is thin, the cheap influx of young players is waning…
Hunter drafts? it will be six drafts ago. Isn’t that outdated now? We are bottom third prospect pool. Our prospect pool is the opposite of thin. Just outside of LW we don't have many top-end prospects, we have lots of guys with NHL potential.
We also have a lot of younger players on the team and are contenders, it is not surprising we don't have a top 5 prospect pool.
The issue has been the Hunter drafts were terrible, the Dubas drafts look better so far, but time will tell, this year we should start seeing if that is true.

“This list of prospects isn’t going to bring people out of their seats anytime soon”Source? Most have us 10-15 from what I've seen

NHL Scout's Analysis: Breaking down the Maple Leafs' prospect pool
After assessing the pro roster and next steps the Maple Leafs could take, former NHL scout Jason Bukala looks at Toronto's prospect pipeline and analyzes the key players.www.sportsnet.ca
Every organization has a couple prospects, and btw the Hunter excuse is lame, this is Dubas’s fifth draft.
I’m factoring in the paltry three picks we have this year as well, look at the lists after the draft. If we move on from sandin we will have 0 Dubas picks on the roster.
Our younger players are
Lily(5/6 D) a "Lou" pick
The 3 forwards 24-24-25
Bunting who we brought in and is 27 next year
Engval (25)
Our back up goalie
What young players are pushing every player from 2018 to now from being on the team.
Knies is the one prospect that looks NHL ready and we can't convince him to leave college.
Our prospect pool is at best middle of the pack in every ranking.
Who has the time, you’re still blaming Hunter lol.Quickly skimmed, mind pointing to the part where they rank the pool against other teams? I couldn't find that.

Our prospect pool is at best middle of the pack in every ranking. Saying we have no real stud prospects but a lot of "NHL potential" is the definition of a mid to low tier pool if they're not surefire NHL dudes it's a crap shoot.
Add that to the fact that graduates are usually not on the list and we should be way higher because we haven't graduated anyone.
No you’re right, we have a top end prospect pool.one sportsnet article doesn't really prove your point lmao
quick google searchNo you’re right, we have a top end prospect pool.
Last week the Fan Marlies guy was saying there isn’t much there compared to other teams, I’ll forward your laughter on to him.
This place….
Not to mention, the idea that we should be using picks that won't be ready for a few years on our weaknesses NOW...yeah that strategy worked out so well in the mark hunter drafts
Robertson, Knies, Kral, Douglas, Steeves, Abruzzese, and Holmberg could all push for a spot this year (not sure Kral is a Dubas pick and some are signings)
In the coming years Amirov, Hirvonen, Niemela, Kokkenen, and Voit all look like they have decent shots to me.
We will start to see if any of these guys make it, but I think at least 6-7 of these guys get games in the next 2-3 years, if not more.
Was just asking genuinely since you posted an article claiming it said we had a bottom-third prospect pool and I couldn't see where it said that. The three articles I just looked at had us 15, 15, 6.
