Because our management team has a track record for good moves..

Every team makes bad moves. Ours just keep getting brought up over and over again. No one would call Beauchamin for Lupul and Gardiner a bad move yet it was. We critique the wrong moves and praise the wrong moves a lot

It was? I think that is one of those hockey deals that work out for both teams.

Every team does make bad moves. Ours keep getting brought up because they keep making them over and over again. For every step in the right direction this team makes, it finds ways to take two in the opposite.

Are you saying Beauchemin wouldn't have been a huge upgrade on our backend this year?

Beauchemin with the Leafs: Struggling

Lupul with the Ducks: Struggling

Both got traded and thrived with their new team. Add in the fact we got Gardiner as well, I'm not sure how you can say thats a lost trade.

Leafs have good luck with Swedes, this is why I think Tom Nilsson or Petter Granberg can be vital players for us in the near future.
