So instead of the top 3 most valuable players/coaches/gms/etc. at a specific role, who were the most detrimental players to their teams in each of the award categories?

So for example the coach that wins the Anti-Jack Adams would have made the biggest impact on their team performing poorly. Anti-Norris is the Dman who was the biggest liability to his team, etc.

5 games is nothing

He was on the cap for all 82, though.

Is a trophy like the anti-norris awarded to the defenseman who is objectively the worst at playing D (a guy who probably plays 12 minutes a night and is in and out of the lineup) or a big minute guy who plays his big minutes poorly? More damage is probably done while the second guy is on the ice, but if given the deployment of the first player he would out perform him.

My thinking would be it goes to the second Dman for the same reason a goalie with 60+ starts is more like to the vezina than a goalie with 40 starts. You go based on what actually happened, not what could have happened.

Anti-Richard definitely goes to Milya Mikheyev. The guy had 11 goals playing second line minutes with Pettersson gifting him passes, was on the powerplay for a considerable portion of the season with a really skilled group and had a shooting percentage of 7.5% with a majority of his shots being tap ins or breakaways.

That guy f***ing sucked this year. Had a total of 1 goal since December 17th, 2023 while getting second line minutes with Petey and that was including playoff games. He had 68 medium to high danger unblocked shot attempts and only converted on 11 of them. If it weren't for the beginning of the year his stats would have looked tremendously worse.

Anti Richard: Jansen Harkins

45 games as a forward 0 goals.

Any other forward play more games with 0 goals?
Ilya Lyubushkin played 74 games with 0 goals on 47 shots.

Trevor Van Riemsdyk played 70 games with 0 goals on 75 shots.

Edit: Sorry didn't see you said forward. Looks like Harkins will have to share the Anti-Richard with "Benoit-Olivier Groulx" who also played 45 games with 0 goals as a forward.

So I am a bit torn.

Benoit did play more hockey per time on ice.
Harkins however did get more shots on net though.

I was hoping to nominate one officially as King of Anti-Richard but I am torn which stat is more important.

John Gibson has to be the anti-Vezina right? No other goalie that's played 40 games has worse numbers than him.

It's nuts to think there's still fans that want to trade for this guy

That sounds like Mikheyev at times in Toronto. His last season with the team, he somehow scored over 20 goals (and paced for more than 30). It sounds like he's reverted to his former self.

Anti Vezina: Georgiev

Below .900 on one of the best defensive teams in the league. Absolutely awful and of course he went to the all-star game.
