It's so hilariously stupid the way people refer to this guy as a 3rd line C. Career high in goals, assists, points, Selke nomination and you still have some clowns trying to discredit how good he is. Battled through injuries too.

Excellent hockey player to anybody with a set of eyes, and one of the best 2 way C's in the game. Well deserved nomination. Contract is a steal. I hope those who disrespected this player over the years recognize their foolishness in due time.

Isles fan coming in peace to see if you guys would have any interest in something around Dobson/Cirelli. My thinking as an outsider is that Geekie would slide to center, and Dobson would play with Hedman which would be lethal. This trade would be assuming a negotiated contract with Dobson

Cirelli for Dobson, no thanks. Dobson is likely getting a massive contract, so making this trade not only doesn't save Tampa any cap space (only hinders it further) and leaves them with a massive hole at 2C that they now can't fill with anyone meaningful and address the other spots that need attention.

Career highs? What are they? How many Goals did he score? 27, 20 that is the last two years. How about Assists? 32, 25 Points? 59, 45. PP? Goals 3, 3 Assists? 4,2, In 80 games.

What does the Selke Award reward?? Top DEFENSIVE F.

Kills penalties. Scores Goals, no real PP production. Defensive forward. 3rd line... Top 3rd line guy. I will go low 2nd, maybe. He just doesn't elevate enough. He is a support guy.

Why are you making him something he isn't? He is 2018 Yanni Gourde (64, 48 points), role player

I would be shocked if he ever comes even close to winning it. Barkov probably has it for the next few years if he stays healthy as he's at least as good defensively as Cirelli (probably better) and million times the offensive player. If not Barkov, then someone else like Reinhart who is much better offensively than Cirelli.

Blind voters confirmed. Point has done a complete 180 in our end the last two seasons. He got absolutely ass blasted against Florida last year. Him and Dumba puck watched shit left and right down the stretch and into the playoffs. Extremely disappointing because he has it in him to be more than serviceable as the defensive tasked center with higher upside/capabilities for offense. It actually sucks because he'd make Cirelli expendable and we could grab a more offensive minded, bigger center.

I really hope JBB does something about 2RW because rolling out the same top six is ludicrous.
