Prospect Info: Anthony Brodeur

I'm rooting hard for Anthony to at least make it to the NHL as a backup at the very least. If Clemmensen could do it then I think Anthony can also. They were both picked around the same spot in their respective draft years.

Marty's heir is our fresh new ginger and his future back up is...Anthony :nod:

And he will have little Zajacs and Parise's playing in front of him

this was pure class, through and through. having it in NJ was the icing on the cake.

nhl.com video of them getting interviewed together after

I also think it's funny they had a Brodeur jersey there ready to give him to put on with the name already on the back and Marty said to give him the 13 generic one instead - he'd like that.

Classy move on Marty's part. This day was about Anthony, not Marty. He didn't need another reminder of having to live in his father's shadow and be endlessly compared to him.

Moments like this make me love this damn team even more than I thought I could. Shows how truly important Marty is to this team and what a classy individual Lou is. Congratulations to Anthony and the whole Brodeur family, this must have been such a special moment for them.

It is interesting that Anthony started out as a forward before going goalie. Maybe he can handle the puck like his dad someday. Either way, he's not as bad as people think, and he's still getting better. Let's see how he develops in Quebec.

Holy ****, that's awesome.

How time flies...

It is a great heartwarming story, he split time last year with a Junior actually playing in 5 less games. I'm kinda surprised hes going the QMJHL route instead of college.

Total PR move but the kid actually does look like he has some potential. He looks like he could be a pretty solid skater with a little work on his core/leg strength.

Looking at the vid, it seems like he likes to stand a bit more than the usual butterfly goalies who immediately go down on their knees even before a player winds up for the shot.....

Yeah, Marty has always said that while he's generally pretty hands off when it comes to his kids' development as hockey players he made sure they didn't play like Allaire prototypes. Hopefully with some time playing junior he'll develop a stronger core and you won't see so much movement with his upper body when he moves laterally or changes directions. A couple times he looks like he could benefit from a sharper radius on those skates when he's trying to scramble too.

Never go against the family.
(geez Lou even has the striped suit on LOL)

Love this shop, but I think you gotta dig up the other one and chop Anthony's head over D'Agostini's kissing Lou's hand and put Marty's head in the background
