The Kings will probably slot in as the #3 in Pacific and #7 in points in the West. Chance's are they will play the #2 in the division. Obviously Doughty's return and future injuries, like all teams, may change that course.
If it plays out that way, I think ownership has no other option but to clean house, but then again who do you bring in?
Like one of my buddies who works for Florida noted after the game. You may win a game 2-1 like tonight, but you won't win a series playing that way. Maybe he was upset who knows, but as it stands, the odds are the Kings home record probably will not continue at the current click as the rest of the season plays out.
Are the Kings goof enough to make the playoffs, Yes, are they good enough to make any sort of run, No.
The bigger question I have is, will ownership accept another season where the Kings are mid pack, go out in the first round and are paying a #2 pick 6-mil for limited return.
