The clause-free tradeable NHL contracts we have (that would free up cap space) are Moore, Anderson and Byfield.

It's hard to see a scenario where trading any of them makes much sense.

I wish we could trade Fiala or Kuemper but that seems unlikely. Fiala has a NMC.

Moore actually makes a ton of sense to trade, especially if recent performances are worth any sort of consideration.

Trading Fiala would instantly make the team a better playoff team, but that’s not a conversation that most people are ready to have.

Moore is 4th on the team in EVP.

He plays a solid two way game, can be used in all situations. Exactly the type of guy you want in your middle six. He's good value at 4.2M.

If the Kings are trying to win now, I don't see how moving him makes much sense.

Moore is playing like hammered dog shit relatively

We need him to be better, just like a handful of others. He may be putting up points but he's been soft and a borderline liability but at least that part he's turning around. His calling card was hard work and forechecking but right now he's just getting pushed over and can't catch the play.

But trading him makes little sense, you'd never get back similar value, and it's at a low now.

If they have to move cap to bring in a big name somethings gotta give.
The thing with him is he was real soft in the playoffs last year and hasnt really been to willing to get his hands dirty this year either.
Just flipping between games tonight Edmonton Florida Dallas and Washington seem much bigger than the Kings. If they can get a goal scorer thats a little grittier than Moore and a big 4th liner it would help balance them out against these teams.

He's hurt. They need to rest him before he gets hurter, or even worse. He could get John Hurt

Pretty sure there's a nagging injury issue. That's why he had to sit out.

Aside from the concussion year, he's been good for us in the playoffs. Has scored some big goals.

Moore has yet to figure out how to transfer his game to the post season, and although I do agree that he is worth what he is paid, that value all but disappears come playoff time.

He doesn’t move the needle forward when it counts, and would be coveted by other teams. It’s an easy move to make in a vacuum.

The most likely person I see is Gavrikov when Doughty comes back. Slides right into his spot with Anderson without disrupting any of the other pairings.

It is going to be expensive to sign him long time. It would also free up a ton of space to go get a scoring forward. I love him as a player, and he looks to be awesome in the dressing room, so he would certainly be missed, but Arena scorer would be incredible on this team. I just think Drew replaces him seamlessly.

In an NHL 2025 world I would Gav and Moore for Panarin but in real life, I’m not sure how much interest the rangers would have. I’m sure there’s some kind of trade out there that could get us an offensive player.

I have a bad feeling they’ll end up getting
a Jason Zucker or Rackell and thinking they’ll be a difference maker. Both having decent yrs. Id rather stay put. I thought Zucker was the best Sabre in kings recent game vs Sabres. Underrated when he’s healthy and on his game. Didn’t know he was born Newport Beach. I can hear Nickson now: “Trevor Moore of Thousand Oaks, to Jason Zucker of Newport Beach..shot hits the post”

Barbashev was the biggest steal in recent years.
Was hoping the Kings would get him. Oh well.
No players like that rumored to be on the block. Or at least can be had for a prospect like Zach Dean.
Can’t believe the Blues didn’t get more.

If the Kings could honestly get Barzal or Konecny…true difference makers, that’s worth looking into.
Josh Norris’ shoulder is not worth the risk, or cap hit.

Carey Price 10.5 AAV, 1 season after this. King could demote one player & trade for him & add to LTIR. Activate Doughty & still have 10 in cap.

Starting next year would be a bit tricky, but adding Doughty, Top 6 scorer & an extra D would be hilarious this season.

Edit
Next season to get under the cap, hand Rossi a 9 mill offer sheet dated to the first day of the season when Price goes on LTIR. 1,2,3rd round picks.

Year after Kopi & Price off the books. Cap back to normal after two good runs.

So watch Blake and Dubas make yet another deal.
Blake overpays for Crosby. Something like 2025 #1, Moore, Ziemmer. Or even worse; Greentree (instead of Ziemmer) or 2 #1s or adding Slukynsky or George. Maybe get a #2 back.

Sid is 37 and last 2 yrs scored 90+ pts.
Honestly, if the Kings are playing this well and
more is expected of QB, Fiala and DD is back in 2 months, this could be Cup caliber. Put fans in the seats and have 2+ yrs to go for it.

Yeah, how would they match up w Panthers or Carolina if they could win the West. Idk. Takes more than the best team on paper to win the Cup.
Stl and Caps won and they were not the best.
It would absolutely require Kuemper to be nails
In the playoffs.

I’m not for something like this. But wouid not hate it, if Sid can still play. He’s signed 2 more yrs at 8.7.
Maybe Fiala scores 40.

Outsider question:
Was wondering if you could help pinpoint Spence's value. Thanks in advance
I'd toss him into a package for a shutdown RD personally. :naughty:

Can't see him being much more than a second, but can't trade Spence without an upgrade on RD first.

Edit: Others may value Spence more than me.
