I wonder if it was voluntary or mandatoryHe plays like he practices.
You usually do this when you know you've messed up.
Don’t try and take my title I’ve worked hard to be the least liked guy in this forum you can tell because only like 3 dudes will read this. Why don't you go on the main polling board here on HF and do a Fiala vs. Faber poll, lets see what the results show. Since apparently you think it's only "The Good Old Boys club" on this forum that is overrating Faber. But I'm sure when the results come back you will just tell everyone else they are wrong and you are right.
Faber who is a star in the league at 22 is overrated, but Byfield who is the same exact age is underrated and has all this untapped potential. Ok. Oh yeah and God forbid he stayed in a great environment at U of Minnesota and developed, rather than spending a season watching his development plateau like every single person under the tutelage of Muzz Murray. Yeah that was a real negative, excellent point!
I couldn't care less what your opinion of me is, you are a joke at this forum and everybody thinks so, you contribute next to nothing towards this community other than coming in and taking shots at people who disagree with you (everyone). You are the most useless poster I've seen in 20+ years posting here. Makes me wonder why someone who is so universally disliked spends so much time here, but hey to each his own. But please add me back to ignore so I'm not notified each time I get one of your stupid laughing reactions. Thanks
Fiala is a strange case. The guy hustles.. he looks to make plays and frequently does (ie not a shot hog) - in terms of that he is not selfish. His impulsiveness which results in bad penalties, bad passes, general lack of situational awareness plus his inability to mesh with his linemates is whats wrong with him... that cant be fixed with like skating or shooting... but I get why he's doing it, to show he cares. Still the dude needs to f-in go ASAP.You usually do this when you know you've messed up.
Don't sell yourself short. I can think of at least 5 I like less than youDon’t try and take my title I’ve worked hard to be the least liked guy in this forum you can tell because only like 3 dudes will read this.
But last year he did seem to figure it out in the second half. We wasn't scoring as much, but he wasn't hurting the team either.Fiala is a strange case. You love me, you just don’t like my politics. LolDon't sell yourself short. I can think of at least 5 I like less than you
The selfishness isn't in thinking shot only, its in thinking he can make things happen were they cannot - and should not - happen. Its a incredibly selfish way of thinking, and it's always going to teeter between good and bad. Top players know that they are "the man", and Fiala thinks the same way. The problem is that he is a diet star, and whether the positives outweigh the negatives is irrelevant because the sheer abundance of mistakes is a huge drag on the team. He doesn't produce enough to justify patience.Fiala is a strange case. The guy hustles.. he looks to make plays and frequently does (ie not a shot hog) - in terms of that he is not selfish. That is true. And so has Byfield. But last year he did seem to figure it out in the second half. We wasn't scoring as much, but he wasn't hurting the team either.
Now he's reverted to the worst version of himself.

I remember a few months ago Surf posted a screenshot of his ignore list (the post where he said you weren't a real fan if you don't live in CA,) and I saw it before the mods nuked it. It was like 15 people long.
Can you imagine this board just seeing nothing but Axl and GBH posts? I think Herby was the only frequent poster here that he didn't have on ignore.
The thing about a forum vs a bar where say sports fans hang out, is that you can have visitors that are rude and annoying without any physical consequences.. and that is a shame.I remember a few months ago Surf posted a screenshot of his ignore list (the post where he said you weren't a real fan if you don't live in CA,) and I saw it before the mods nuked it. Thankfully I'm not interesting enough to get DMs from burners. I'm thankful to get messages from a wide array of cool people even if there are fundamental disagreements (even after arguments).I can't even begin to stress how much more fun my time here has been without
I mean burner account DMs and such nonwithstanding of course
Confession time, they are all me
Take all the time you need. We are going to need you back when this team turns the corner!!! Which will be soon. Right?I haven't been posting much this season. I was diagnosed with ADD at 46 this year. Been grappling a bit with that and also having a difficult work year. Hockey has taking a bit of a back seat this season for me. I just wanted to say the few games I have seem are pretty meh. This team is a bit hard to get excited for. I'm glad Turcotte has come around, I didn't think he was gonna make it. Clarke is a bright spot, he sees plays that others can't. Never thought I'd say it but feeling pretty apathetic about the team this year.
I dunno. I didn’t see him turn it over at the blue line.He plays like he practices.
You kidding? I have like 16 of you guys left unblocked, this whole forum is the length of that Jewish Sports Legends pamphlet in Airplane.I can't even begin to stress how much more fun my time here has been without
