Prettymuch. This is Carolina, we don't get that lucky (que the fans of the teams we beat in 06 in 3... 2... ). Even when we iced unquestionably the worst team in our history the Pens and Caps found a way to out-tank us in a two-man deep draft, and the one year we did finish dead last due to injuries we still got jumped by ****ing Florida... not that it would have changed who we were taking that year anyway.

I don't see us falling to the Islanders at 5th, but with a mini-streak of wins we possibly could get as high as 14th. I'd really like to see us lose to ANA and SJS while the teams ahead of us lose, and MAYBE the Islanders sneak to or past us. Then if they can do it, FLA and CGY can do it too. That leaves us at #3 overall. What riches might lay there if this tale comes true?

I never really want our team to tank. But there are times when a loss is necessary. This is one of those. Sure, i'll be happy if we win, but if we lose, we will for sure be sellers, and hopefully rid of some pieces that need to go (Ruutu/Peters/etc).
