The reach and height matter in combination with the playmaking you see spurts of. I’m not saying I even like Bahl but you’ll spend time figuring out if he’s the real deal if you’re a GM. At the very least, he’ll return more in a trade, until one of them sticks as a bonafide NHL player.I don’t get why big guys are automatically assumed to be potential ‘unicorns’ by some people. What makes Bahl a unicorn if he puts it together? He’s a big dude with a long reach. Not all that rare or hard to find in the league. Isn’t a great skater, doesn’t even play physical. The only really benefit to his height is his reach.
Okhotiuk is a much better skater and more physical and IMO a better defender. Bahl has him beat in reach and a bit better of a puck mover. That’s it really. Nothing special about Bahl.
