I've got no issues with Brickley on TV. I think he's solid. There are better color guys out there, and there are worse.

Beers, on the other hand, is awful.....

I have a soft spot for Daryl Reaugh being the colour guy on my beloved copy of NHL '98 for Playstation. One of the few colour analysts that still brings some entertainment value. Bit of a throwback.
I think Razor is one of the best in the business. I'll always watch the Dallas feed whenever we play them...

I love that guy too- not only from NHL 98 like @BruinDust mentioned (Jim Hughson and Razor Reaugh) but when I used to get Stars games regularly. Because I went to streaming and now am on ESPN+ they black them out. Bastards.

But to stay on thread topic, I like Brick, always have going back to when he and Jack started with the away games and Dale and Kluz did the home ones.

Part of it is that Judd still calls the game like he's on radio and he has to fill air, he doesn't give things room to breathe and it doesn't give Brickley much room to get more than a word or two in. Jack and others could be a little more conversational and lead him into a story or a point he wants to make but Judd ends up speaking in most of those moments too. They'll have to work on it.

Judd doesn’t stop. I like him, but he needs to take a breath

I recently had Gayle on a podcast who works for NESN.

To be able to come on, she had to say that any of the views expressed were her own personal opinions and not those of NESN. Kind of hard to do on the air for Brick.

She told me before we went on that everyone at NESN has to toe the company line or they wouldn't be there for long.
Sean McDonagh lasted a long time working for NESN and didn't toe the company line. But perhaps times have changed there. Eck too gives it straight.

Perhaps the Sox side of things is less sensitive than the Bruins side, which sounds shocking even to say.
