So, now after a training camp indoctrination, he's solid. I knew this was taking CMB garbage and shining it up. So many people were pissed about the TDL pickup, and now he's one of the more consistent performers on an inconsistent team.

My buddy mentioned Peeke would run around and make big hits but be out of position and be caught in space and beat by quick forwards

Now he’s in playing positionally sound and physical but not over the top in net front battles

RD1 and RD2 stinking is playing a part let's be honest. If those guys are at their best it doesn't matter what Peeke does there would be griping about his contract.

Nope, all the whiners were wrong about him. He's a solid NHL d man
That is the problem he gets shit for his contract, look at his play, that is what counts, put the contract on management, and I know they did not sign him but they accepted the contract in the deal...........oh and he is playing some good hockey.

One of the better trades DS made. Since day one he's been solid.

Most fans that didn’t like the trade complained about the contract, including myself. There are two separate things to consider in an acquisition: the player and the assets given up / contract assumed. I don’t think anybody doubted he would be a fine #6. It was just a lot of cap hit and term (the additional year) to take on for a #6, which is where teams typically look to put a near league minimum guy to free up cap space for other areas of need.

He is a top 4-5 guy to me. A guy that allows them to trade a top 4 player of the current roster.

Most haters of that trade said he was a terrible player as well as over paid
