He's not worth a ton or anything but Boston is already short one RD after dealing Carlo, so it doesn't make any sense to trade him without viable alternatives signed.

To save money to go bigish game hunting this summer (Ehlers). I see Peeke and Jensen as similar players but Peeke is younger and cheaper. I’d imagine we’d have to add due to the reasons above to make it work.

Jensen is better than Peeke. Meanwhile Boston is looking to add RD, not trade Peeke or swap him for another.

Maybe go big game hunting first before you make a trade. Don't want to end up like Detroit where you pay to move Walman to bring in Stamkos, only to not bring in Stamkos.

That’s fair I’m just trying to gauge value. Jensen or Peeke are a stopgap for Yakemchuk anyway.

Still is even if he has been a good fit. Chychrun is still way better and was quite good in Ottawa. Should have moved Chabot instead

Has nothing to do with anything, especially since I was defending that trade on day 1 and it has worked out exactly as I expected.

It's even less relevant when that "better than expected" player is the guy you are talking about moving out.

Peeke could be a decent addition as a 3rd pair D. Moving out Jensen is not the way.

Jensen had a long track record of being very good with Washington and had one bad year. Peeke ... does not have that

Kind of a weird request. I'd almost suggest Peeke is closer to JBD than he is to Jensen. Maybe halfway in between or something. It'd definitely be a step back for Ottawa at least. Younger than Jensen, but he's largely just a stopgap to other young guys like Yakemchuk coming along anyway, so i doubt that matters much.

But Boston also don't really need to be moving another RHD without anything imminent to replace them, with Carlo already out the door.


Just doesn't really jive from either end imo.
