Recently people have been saying that Vasy has peaked and we won’t see any Vezina seasons from him again , but this year he’s been absolutely dominant carrying the Lightning to another possible cup run.

Clearly Hellebuyck has been talked about for the most season and everyone already accepted he’s the Vezina winner, but in reality Vasilevsky is right behind him.

GAA
Helly 2.01
Vasy 2.18

SV%
Helly 0.926
Vasy 0.924

SO
Helly 6
Vasy 4

Wins
Helly 36
Vasy 29

Remarkable that both goalies are 1-2 in all stat categories, Helly is still ahead and the favorite for the trophy, but Vasy can close the gap by the season’s end.

It took him a while to get back to form after his back surgery. Part of me wondered if he’d ever get back to peak form, but this season has rivaled his best years. Having McDonagh back has been a huge help as well.

He was kinda up and down at the start but has settled into classic Vasy form. If Hellebuyck wasn't having a sicko season, Vasy would easily win. Nice to see him shake the washed allegations.

Vasilevsky has the best resume of any goalies drafted 2000s or later

It’s no worse than second that’s for sure. Hellebuyck is entering rarefied air though as an individual.

A third Vezina would tie him with Roy and trail only Hasek and Brodeur since 1981-1982.

Hellebuyck playoffs hurt him otherwise hed be talked a lot more for top 10ish goalie all time

Bobrovsky has 2 vezinas and now has a cup + another finals run.

Bobrovsky was a lot less consistent then Vasilvevsky and Helleybuck especially after joining the panthers, otherwise he could have been talked more as an all time great goalie too.

Helleybuck's legacy would probably jump the most of any current goalie if he wins a cup

Yeah after having that bad series against the Leafs a couple years back i thought he was really gonna bounce back huge in last year's playoffs to make up for it..........Maybe wasn't all the way back yet comfort wise..............He sure is now though.........Good for him..........
