You win long-term from cost efficiency plays like this. I have zero complaints. All those millions in cap space will be used, but the advantage of Andersen is that you can take those extra few million in cap space and outbid for players that really matter. I have my doubts that Marner will leave Toronto, but another choke job in the second round and the calculus might shift.

Now that I know it’s 2.75M I can’t be bothered to find anything negative at all. Elvis Merzlikins made 750k more this year than our tandem is set to make next year, and he’s the worst goalie of all time.
