Would make a lot of sense if the decision was made to move JVR for D/ and or futures.
Would "replace" him in the top 6, not in the 1 for 1 sense but as a veteran lw with size to ride shotgun to the kids. Pretty perfect fit actually. Plays a heavier game than JVR and is more of a complementary guy, contract has the right term to expire when the kids need money and the next wave of prospects is ready.

Don't know why he would be listed at C. He has never played there.

Happens often when guys come up the ranks as centres then play in the NHL strictly as wingers, some sites don't update the profile

He's interesting to the leafs as a LW but not as much as he would be if he could play centre IMO

Think I've seen Marner listed as a C when he scored etc even though he's a RW.

Marner played some centre last year in junior I believe...I know they were talking about grooming him at centre going into last year but didn't end up playing there much by the sounds of it

either way, sounds like a lot of guys get listed there if they play at all in lower leagues

Why trade Bozak. He's been great as Marner centre. Leafs are one the last teams that need another forward.

Same with Strome, he's 23 and hasn't found himself. Think the Leafs should just keep their own.

JVR for Lee + would be the deal to be made.
the plus would have to be significant though, look what JVR has done in the NHL and he is only a year older.
