Any time the puck goes in the net, it is counted as a shot on goal.

So the penalty shot goal counts as a SOG, which would mean we had only 2 shots between the puck drop and goal. Seems like we had more, but oh well 2-0 lead is all that matters.

Dunno if you caught it... But there was a decent GKG chant earlier... When it ended the announcer said "A few kings fans trying to get a chant going before being quited by ducks fans" (or something like that)

Hrm, forgot where I got it from... But I had always taken a SOG as a shot that would end up in net if there was no one from the other team stopping it... Wouldn't be surprised if they added any puck that ends up in the net too... Gonna have to look up official wording later.

Either way, its fairly subjective and must be at least a little hard to tell from a weird angle off the ice.
