No he will make about the same or slightly more, Probably the Petry deal at 6 years $5.5 million per more then likely with an American team. Boston would be a perfect fit but if they're unwilling to add Krug to the deal then more then likely they will need to add a 3rd team to the mix like Philly or Carolina whom have an abundance of quality young D men.

I think one of the NHL insiders heard that Cheveldayoff has no interest in Krug, All the more reason why like Detroit Boston and Winnipeg don't make good trading partners here.

It has never been suggested that he's holding out for Ekblad money.

I've heard multiple tweets that said he was pointing to Ekblad as a comparable. Not actually asking for 7.5 a year, but he's viewing Ekblad as his only comparable even though literally everyone else is below 5.5.
