Fowler interview was pretty cordial. Not much interesting info, but he did admit that he found it tough to focus on playing for the Ducks at times this season (because a trade was inevitable and he knew he didn’t have much time left there).
I should also add that he was asked about Montgomery and one of his main points was that he liked how quick and short the meetings are. Definitely seemed like a subtle jab at Cronin based on the Lyubushkin comments.

I finally watched the SC Fowler interview and while he doesn't say anything about Cronin I think some things are telling.

First of all, he says that a big influence on accepting a trade to STL was Terry talking up Montgomery. The fact that one of Fowler's criteria for accepting a trade is "what is the coach like?" is telling.

Then there's the positives he says about Montgomery.

"The way he commands the room. I feel like he understands what it's like to be a player. He gets it with our time management and meetings."

His positives about Montgomery are what has been reported as negatives for Cronin.

Then he goes on to say after Biz asks "...do you mean not have crazy long meetings and keeping them like 8-10 mintues and that's it..." which I assume is referring to Cronin.

Fowler: "I think over the course of the season you have half hour meetings or whatever, they all stack up and you might lose a little bit of interest. 82 games is a lot and sometimes it can be a lot of information to process."

I wonder who he's talking about in that quote?

I listened to his portion of the podcast. I now have some regrets. I’ve been hard on Cam the last few years and I do think it was time for him to move on, but wow, what a class act.

He never had a bad thing to say about anybody and loved his time in Anaheim. It’s too bad he couldn’t win a cup here. What a steal he was in that draft.

Wishing him nothing but the best.

For the most part, I tried to limit negative comments to specific plays during the game and not Cam as a player mainly because the Ducks GMs/coaches consistently put him difficult situations and wore him down with the number of minutes he had to play. He also was immediately thrown into NHL games as an 18-year old and wasn't given the time to become soup in juniors/AHL.

I'm glad he's been able to be used better with the Blues and wish him nothing but success after all the time he toiled in Anaheim. He never complained publicly or during games and was always a first-class professional.

Man it’s weird how bad some of you want our players to hate our coach
