2 goals for Cam. So happy for him. If he gets a hat trick can they fire Cronin to the moon tonight? lol
If we haven't fired cronin yet, i doubt hes getting fired this year....

Weve actually played alright the last week or 2, but ya the young players not really showing much doesnt seem to concern PV all that much.

saw this on blues boards

"Get Fowler the hatty. Would be career goals 98, 99 & 100...In his 1000th game...at Wrigley!"

would be cool to get your 100th goal in your 1000 game on Wrigley field.

It is so f***ing maddening and unsurprising that every player that leaves the Ducks becomes better.

Like how is this not obvious to management by now??

i mean, fowler looks rejuvenated. but who else are you referring to? montour i suppose fits the bill
I went through the list of our trades and it is way less common than I felt lol

Marcus Pettersson was another one though. And Hakanpaa. And I feel like Gudbranson was really good for a couple years after he left.

So basically all defensemen

Eh people were pretty down on lindholm time of trade, and he went to boston and almost won a norris.

Steel was prob more overhyped…. But I don’t think a lot of people thought he’d be able to become a solid bottom 6 player
Oh I agree that he was overhyped but his sticking in the bottom six of Dallas agrees with the general idea that guys who aren’t succeeding or meeting expectations here are able to be competent or even exceed expectations on other teams with proper utilization and coaching

Manson and lindholm definitely. rakell also bounced back.

Maybe steel too?
manson and rakell have pretty much been the same players they were in anaheim

lindholm put up big numbers a couple seasons back on a historically great bruins team but has come back down to earth since and is also looking like the same player he was here

steel seems to have carved out a bottom 6 role for himself, but his numbers are also the same as when he was here

unless you're counting guys like theodore, montour, and karlsson who were young and not here very long, i can't think of anyone in recent memory who left and started playing noticeably better than when they were a duck

Very happy for Fowler, and I hope his success continues. I want to believe we are seeing what could have been if Fowler was used properly as opposed to just a hot streak driven by a fresh start.

Stefan Noesen is the first non-dman that comes to mind.

He was never going to be this version of fowler in Anaheim under Cronin, just like lindholm was never going to be that Norris version under Eakins

Overall Fowler was pretty checked out by the time of the trade, you could see it in his body language and on ice effort. Blues system is much better for him as a player.

The biggest fail is that PV didn’t move fowler sooner. I imagine in offseason we shoulda been able to get a 1st + pretty comfortably…. After a roughly a 50 point season and a 40 point season.

Same thing is happening with Gibson. When he finally moved, we'll be complaining about the return again.

Cam has always been a solid player. He is being paired with Parayko which works well for him. First goal was nice. Second was just a seeing eye flip from the blue line.

I hope he continues to do well in St. Louis. But before he gets elevated to Norris status with the Blues, he is no different than all the years he has played here and will have the same faults. Like Binnington bailing him out after Hall picked him in the D zone.

Happy with him the years he was here and happy he was moved.
