Ducks haven't been the "big bad Ducks" in a while. Over the last several years, they've been the victim of significantly more cheap shots than throwing them. There's been 2 already this season against young Ducks players (Zegras and Lundestrom)?

Ours is Derek Grant aka '1C Grantzlaf'. A meme that goes back to the 2017-18 season when due to injuries to Getzlaf and Kesler they had Grant as 1C filling in for Getzlaf lol.

Pretty much. Throw in ZAR being an analytics darling and you have a real disconnect of a team loving a guy and the fans mostly hating him. It's like if Craig Adams had a stat that made his assured spot in the line-up justifiable. Him having decent offensive potential and turning into a black hole with the puck doesn't help his standing amongst fans. He should be more than he is.

ZAR is a better player than Penguins fans would lead you to believe, and a worse player than analytics portray.

He was a 1C Chad that year lol. He's a guy i root for, a blue collar-ish NHLer that works hard to get where he is.
It used to be the blue collar guys were mostly the enforcers, now its the bottom line center guy who steps it up when there is injuries.
