Buffalo will claim him but he looked washed beyond belief in the one start I watched him against the Devils.

I know Anaheim isn't good defensively but neither is Buffalo. Good on the Sabes for getting their guy I guess but I can't really see a guy going on 37 moving the needle for them.

The most important thing is getting Levi everyday starts in Rochester instead of collecting dust and not developing behind UPL.

It would make all the sense in the world for Buffalo to reclaim him (I think they jump the line since they waived him this season, right?)

How good is he now? Back in 2017-18, he single-handedly lost several games for Florida, which is why they finished 1 point out of the playoffs. And in 2018-19 he simply was not an NHL-level goaltender.

Godboy is definitely nearing the end of his time in the league

This was always basically the way this would go. Ducks claimed him while Gibson was injured, waive him...now Buffalo gets him back. Always seemed like basically a "loan" while the Ducks needed an NHL roster goalie and Buffalo probably wanted to find out where Levi was at and if he's ready.
