I don't think Terry should be listed as untouchable there might be a team willing to pay a boatload for him.

Brandon Hagel got 2 1sts.

I think if somebody calls on Terry you listen.

2024 2nd for Vatrano if you also pls do 50% max retention [which yes it is 2.5 yrs but it is only 1.x retained, not a lot] in exchange for mutually agreeable currency, preferably prospects.

My gut still wants Klingberg for the Bruins, but he has been so bad, I have my doubts.

Can’t really make too much of an assessment on him in Anaheim. He is playing way over his head on a poorly coached Ducks team with a bad defensive system. If he goes to a team with depth and structure he will look more like his Dallas years. I‘m pretty sure GMs know this.

I agree, but defense has never been his strength. It just so happens the Bruins could use a rh offensive d and Montgomery knows him.
More to the point, only one or two other teams had interest in him this off-season.

Oh yeah totally agree, we call him the Swedish Giraffe, lol. But a team looking for some offense on their back end with other D to take those tough shutdown mins would work out well for Klingberg.

I don't know about my fellow Wing fans, But i wouldn't mind bringing Cam Fowler home. He and his wife had just bought a new Colonial home in West Bloomfield, Michigan and plan on raising their future family there. So i'm pretty sure Detroit would be his first choice as long as the price is right of course.

"A boatload" meaning what exactly? Picks and prospects? The Ducks have a fantastic prospect pool and a ton of picks for this draft including a likely top 3-5 and three seconds. All kinds of other assets to move in order to acquire more if desired.

Makes a lot more sense to build around a 25 year old first line player than bank on a fistful of lottery tickets. Terry should definitely be on the list of untouchables, there's no reason to be selling him off.

The Ducks have had a similar agenda since about 2019.

They sign vets to 1-3 year terms. Trade assets for the best possible returns. A fire sale this year won't happen but 3-5 pieces will leave for picks/prospect's. They'll draft 2-5 times in the first two rounds again and add to the growing pool of amazing prospects they currently have growing.

Look at their every draft since 2019 and who they have in their organization under the age of 22. In barely 3.5 years!!!!

This is without mentioning the fact that one of Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson, Smith, Cristal will be joining Zegras and MacTavish as their top forwards which is insane.

Not envious at all

I don't know but like I said Brandon Hagel got 2 1sts.

If Brandon Hagel can get 2 1sts what can Troy Terry get?

If somebody calls on Terry I think you have to listen because if Brandon Hagel can get 2 1sts Troy Terry gets more.

Unless he's demanding a trade, I really don't think it matters how many picks someone would offer. You don't move a 25 year old first line winger for any realistic return of futures, regardless of where you're at in a build.

It's not a worthwhile talking point, he's the Ducks best player, still young and no more available than any of their key building blocks.

What would the price be for Henrique?

Or more particularly, what would the Ducks be looking for in any trade?

I don‘t think Rico will move now, he has been a very good vet presence for players like McTavish and Zegras. Player development is critical for Anaheim now. Not to say Verbeek won‘t listen, and if the price is huge, then maybe he pulls the trigger.

As per what the Ducks want, draft picks. Verbeek wants to throw as many darts at the board as possible.

I figured Zegras would be considered the Ducks best player

In his defense people said lindholm was washed up and past his prime because of how bad Anaheim was. And he seems to be doing just fine outside of Anaheim

Picks + prospects…. I’d say we prob need winger help and defense help…. Tho we have a ton of dmen coming in the not too distant future.

Hello and you have a good point. Eakins is on my short list for worst non expansion non interim coaches fwiw. Question is are the Bruins willing to lose defense when Klingberg replaces Clifton or Forbort or Gryzlyck.

whats the ask for fowler

I think his ntc makes him tough to move…. But I hope verbeek at least sees what he can get for fowler…. I imagine teams asking would offer up 1st + prospect for him

That’s the big question…. Does klingberg bring enough to bostons defense to justify making that type of move.

I think he’d succeed in Boston because they have plenty of dmen who can play the tougher mins and let klingberg do what he does best and that’s offense. In Anaheim there is no sort of protection for him.
