Led Slovakia in goals during an impressive Worlds.
Care to elaborate on him?Enjoy the AHL Pavol.. Wish him best though, has some potential.
Kinda your typical power forward. Not exceptional offensive skills but pretty good around the net. I think he will struggle with the speed in NA, his skating/physique still requires a lot of work. But he has the right instincts to make it if he puts in the work. Determined player, drives the net, uses body.Care to elaborate on him?
Have you ever seen him play? He is big energy ball, never sparing a stride and can build up pretty high speed during that proces. It was only a matter of time anybody from NHL give him a chance...one of best from Slovakia during Olympics and recently ended WCHKinda your typical power forward. Yes I have, many many times. Just like I have seen Jaskin, or Sekac, or Plotnikov, or whoever else is a vaguely similar player play many times before. They all got their chances on merit but that doesn't mean they are some kind of money in the bank deal. His skating is rather choppy and his balance is kinda suspicious, on smaller ice at higher speeds it will get exposed more. If he works on it and adapts - that's great. If he doesn't, back to Europe. We've seen this movie many times before.Have you ever seen him play?
Only if you pair him with Pastrnak.Roman Cervenka just led WC in scoring, NHL return imminent?
Well Bergeron has no contract so...Only if you pair him with Pastrnak.
Many many times...suuure...that means maybe 5 games...i watched him on weekly basis and his skating isnt choppy, balance is nowhere near suspicious and speed is on par with NHL...he will adapt very wellYes I have, many many times. Yes, he's an NHL-level player, that's why he was about to sign with Mlada Boleslav in Czechia... There is nothing wrong with being a fan, it is kinda wrong to insist you are right when you only have bias to show for it. Just because you were drooling over him on weekly basis doesn't make you objective. Many many times...suuure...that means maybe 5 games...i watched him on weekly basis and his skating isnt choppy, balance is nowhere near suspicious and speed is on par with NHL...he will adapt very well
You just ruined your credibility with that Cervenka bs. Your understanding went on vacation with this one.

Has anyone gone from the Slovak league to the NHL, to begin with? Acting like you know for sure he will "adapt very well"... You don't. At best, you can believe he will.
Cervenka thing was a joke if Bergeron's mention didn't make it obvious enough...
Could have mentioned Samuel Bucek, who signed with Seattle just this year. I Don't think bringing up Gaborik, Hossa from ancient times matters. So you decided to ruin your credibility even more. Fine by me. Lets continue
First of all, Marian Gaborik, Pavol Demitra and Marian Hossa sending best regards. They were drafted stright from Slovak league. But as prospects it doesnt count i believe. Still there's first sign of cracking your "has anyone gone from Slovak league to the NHL"
Zdeno Chara was playing for Sparta Praha when drafted by Islanders and thats second crack in your wise bashing european leagues
We are talking about 22y.o. player who just emerged in Slovak league and unfortunately in recent times if it wasnt for Nemec little to none scouts went watching games there. So players need to go to Czech, Swedish or Finnish league to get noticed. Same happened with Kelemen who signed in Arizona month ago
There's no need for your opinions if you dont know player or history of anything. Now you just sound stupid
But back to Regenda. He has all the tools to succeed in NHL, now its only up to him if he will continue in development. Ramsay as a coach of Slovakia has done great job by printing the basics to the players

Fair point but those names meant something in NHL. With Bucek you can go "who?" because he is known only for his play in Nitra while Kelemen and Regenda had quite nice tournaments behind them
Kudla seems to be the only one who hasn't lost the plot here. You had to go 20 years back to come up with those names and those being ones you came up with prove my point, not discredit it.Could have mentioned Samuel Bucek, who signed with Seattle just this year. Cernak was drafted from the Slovak league and then took 3 years elsewhere.Cernak was drafted from Slovak league.
Only if you pair him with Pastrnak.
Are we gonna give Sweden credit for developing Regenda? After all he played 2 seasons in Sweden as a junior.Kudla seems to be the only one who hasn't lost the plot here. You had to go 20 years back to come up with those names and those being ones you came up with prove my point, not discredit it.
There is an occasional guy like Bucek. Or Lantosi. Which you could have mentioned but you didn't. Do you know why? Because they sign and play in the AHL. Which, again, was the whole point.
Cernak was drafted from the Slovak league and then took 3 years elsewhere.

Well if Bucek's yo-yo-ing between 10 minutes per game and being a healthy scratch in the KHL is any indication, Regenda is surely going to set the NHL on fire. Surely. Not like we have yet another proof of a lightyear-wide gap between the Slovak league and actually competitive ones. Can't wait to see that NHL-level speed.i watched him on weekly basis and his skating isnt choppy, balance is nowhere near suspicious and speed is on par with NHL...he will adapt very well
