Can anyone tell me why pearson is not getting any mins He is not playing that bad/

I'm speculating injury, like Carter. He seems to just not be able to do anything with the puck.

WOuldn't be surprised with all the times the Kings get liberties taken on them with no calls.

Without a healthy Carter the team is doomed. The D just isn't good enough to try and win 2 -1 every game.

I cannot. to me he should be behind Lucic on the left side and that's it. Him and King alternate 2nd line spot based on hot hand.
Also Why Brown was on the top line I do not know.
The lines last night were terrible. I liked Clifford coming in for Nolan but not hoe Sutter put him in.

Lucic-Kopitar-Toffoli/Gaborik
Pearson-Carter-Toffolli/Gaborik
King-VL-Brown/Lewis
Clifford-Shore-Brown/Lewis

These are the lines I like. I prefer brown as #3RW over Lewis but it should be based on who is playing better

I posted yesterday about the icetime last night too. Not sure if it was a reaction to the game or intentional from the get-go but Sutter basically spread it all out almost entirely equally.

I don't like what Sutter did last night at all but I hope he has better things in mind for the road trip. He was a problem with the team (unless, like I speculated, Carter and Pearson and more are actually really messed up).

It's ok to test things now that we are ahead of everyone. I think it's good that different players play with each other. Builds some chemistry between them. We figure out what is good and what's not come playoffs.

Pres trophy is not a priority.

I don't care if they strugglebus it into the playoffs as the 8th seed again, health should be the priority. Carter is obviously hurting in some fashion, and it doesn't seem to be getting better. There's just not enough depth to win series against legit contenders in the playoffs without key guys like this.

But home ice is. Sutter himself often says as much.

If this team blows its massive divisional lead, I will have zero faith in them going into the playoffs. That would mean they played .500 hockey for pretty much the entire second half of the season (month down so far).

Pearson looks like Jordan Nolan at times. He just skates it into a corner and gets stopped by a defenseman. He needs to start using that speed again. Shoot the puck and forecheck hard when he doesn't have the puck.

6 goals in 51 games for Pearson. That's about 10th in goals per game for the forwards. Not that Gaborik or Brown are lighting the world in fire, but they're also not coming back from a broken leg last year.

Which comes first, more goal production, or stable lines? Lecavalier has the most goals on the team since he got here. Is that good or bad?

It really wouldn't be Kings hockey if they had a nice buffer built up going down the stretch and could take some nights off and rest up. Nope... got to make it a nail bitter to see if they'll make the playoffs... don't want it to be too easy.

Lewis had some great opportunities his linemates set up for him. So close to converting.

Probably too many guys are healthy and Sutter has too many options because of it. Can't help himself.

You just summed up his entire career with LA, especially the last 4 seasons.

1-0 coyotes. Ducks are already rattled and the Kings couldn't do dick last night.

Coyotes Coyoteing, and Ducks looking like they blew their wad.

Typical, team has their 'best game of the year' against us as always then turns to mush right after. Would love to see the win-loss records of teams after they play us...seem to have an emotional and physical let down over and over and over.

(think the Ducks will pull this one out though, just an observation).

Edit: and just as I say that the team with the most PP opportunities in the league gets another PP.

The problem with us is we've lost the next night to the team that played the Ducks the night before several times. Blown out by OTT, shutout by Minn, and I'm sure there are more games where we've lost to a team on a back to back....oh yeah the AVS the game before the ASB.

Duck got 7 pp
Yotes got 5 pp

Same as us and nearly the same result. Lost 5-2 instead of 6-2.
