The only positive about this one (and the others) is NBC may want to televise fewer kings games in the future.

The Ducks look good to go for the Stretch.

The Kings should decline any further opportunities to play on NBC/NBCSN until the playoffs.

The coach should ask Milan Lucic to stop taking penalties.

There really is nothing worth discussing over this ****fest. I had more fun doing laundry.

I said elsewhere my daughter was eating Play Doh and she had a better night than most Kings.

Total slaughter, first real thorough ass-kicking of the season, which is positive in a way that it came so late...but negative that it was at home in a meaningful game against our closest divisional opponent. Team needs to start finding it's gear again or we're going to find ourselves on the edge of the playoffs before the end of the month.

This road trip can be season-defining. Need to really put together a win streak instead of this .500 up-and-down roller coaster. Team is starting to worry me because it's looking like last year's team's issues.

Sadly, to me, the silver lining is that we got absolutely throttled all over the ice in just about every way. Out worked, out skated, out checked, out muscled. Ducks earned their luck, we earned ours. There's more of a lesson in this loss than in any of those other silly games like the Senators loss and so on.

PK REALLY needs to figure something out, too. I shouldn't be terrified every single time we get one.

I have zero issues with the penalty Lucic took in defense of Kopitar except that it was Lindholm so it was probably an accident in that regard.

I hated the late game high stick followed by saying it was embellishment, but whatever, at least he cared.

I DO LOVE that Lucic lives in everyone's head, though. The guy gets examined like he's being chased by hockey TMZ. Every two minute minor gets pages of reaction all over the site. He should hire some advertisers and get some royalties out of it!

Ducks best game of the season
Kings worst game of the season.
While one contributed to the other, I am not going to worry too much about it.
Kings always slump around this time of the year. 500 hockey when you are leading the division is manageable. Nice long road trip now should help them focus.

Literally a pointless waste of time. In every way. It would be nice to know ahead of time when the whole team isn't going to show up. Nobody brought anything to the table. None of them wanted to be there. Paid to play hockey, but would rather have been anywhere else. Didn't go down with a fight. Started the game on the plane to Boston. Or on vacation already, even though they just had 5 days off.

What's wrong with me that I watched the whole thing. That's what's really bothering me. The players will be fine.

He's not wrong, but this guy farts just so he can smell himself:

And on that note, I'm done with the internet for the night. Watch out for the parade if you guys live near Katella.

Probably more to do with the state of the game than anything but Sutter maybe managing people for the upcoming road trip?

Ducks rode their top guys hard in comparison--over 20 minutes for their top offensive guys. For the Kings? Kopi only had 15ish minutes, Jeff Carter actually had more. Lewis had the most icetime amongst forwards with 16:40, Tanner pearson had the least(!) with 10:37 (personally I think he's banged up like Carter, but just my speculation on observation). Cliffy had 11:02, Shore had 12:08--so other than the fourth line, every Kings forward had between 13:24 and 16:40. The D was the same--Doughty had 26:17, McBain had 12:56--but everyone else had 18-21.

I'm not going to blame him for mismanaging the game but NO Kings showed up well, not even Sutter.

Game 1 vs the Sharks was as bad a game you could play.

The last time I felt like the Kings played their type of game was the win against Dallas. Since then, this team has performed poorly, even in games they've won they have been playing questionable hockey.

And the losses aren't ones I'd chalk up as games that were closely contested, the games against Colorado, Minnesota and Ottawa for example, and then this one. It just leaves a sour taste in my mouth and makes me question what we're going to see over the next month. It's very possible for the team to lose their footing and fall out of 1st in the division. The Sharks are trailing by 7 points and have a game in hand, Ducks have two games in hand and trailing by 10 points.

The upcoming 7-game road trip is critical. They need to play above .500.

Big words from a guy who's never won anything.

Not sure how he could call goal 2 fluky. For a guy who scored a number of fluky goals, he'd be the one to know I guess. I'm also guessing Perrons cherry picking above the blueline when Vinny knocked it out of the zone right onto his stick to start the 2 on 1 wasn't flucky at all, was it?

So much smugness from the entire Ducks org, lol. Even the PA guy was parading about it. So much for 'act like you've been there before.'

I remember what happened last time the Ducks prematurely celebrated, though.
