At this point all I want is for Chris Kreider to break the PPG record and stand alone before he's gone this summer. But I don't even think that's going to happen. And that's sad.
I kinda wanted Camille to keep the record -- mainly because he's one of what I call the "forgotten Rangers". Enjoyed what little I saw of him.

The best part about this season is that there is literally nothing good to come out of it. Usually with a bad season the team gets a high pick and chance to draft a high end prospect, and you have that to point to as a positive.

Expect the geniuses running this team will be giving our high pick to Pittsburgh

So we got nothing positive out of this season

We'd f*** up James Hagans or Gavin McKenna or whomever we draft. It's the Rangers way. We f*** up all our prospects. The fish rots from the head down. I hope Dolan is paying attention. He relied on Sather so much and now that Sather is gone, he has his little incompetent boob as the only voice in his ear. MAKE NEW FRIENDS, JIMMY.

BTW, for those calling for Lafreniere to be traded, you know, YOU KNOW, that he's going to absolutely shine once he's away from this toxic organization.

Three on three OT is all man to man. Before Anaheim scored the GWG, Anaheim had the puck in the neutral zone and the Rangers especially Panarin did not have anyone. I was thinking here comes the goal. A few seconds later, it was game over. Panarin is not a winning player. He is a disaster without the puck. Contract extension? Get rid of him.

Been saying this since last year, whole organization needs to be dumped, GM, coaches, development staff, scouting. None of it is working to make this team better and it should have happened before the Kakko trade. We had a ton of good prospects that they took a dump on and then just brush it off that they weren't good to begin with. Laf, Kakko, Schneider, Miller and Robertson were can't miss prospects, we've missed on all of them. Their most important years of development into NHL players has been wasted, whether we can recapture their play at this point is unknown but we can't continue down this road.

All three went to the shooter, it was dumb but really this game was lost way before that. They should have closed this off in regulation but they didn't.

Me too. And then I made the mistake of watching the rest of it this morning.
Why??? LOL just kidding. I watched the goals. Ducks have some nice young pieces to the puzzle. Rangers defensive mistakes were frustrating. Hustle teams usually get more PP than PK. We don't. Team should show hustle stats. Seeing Dmen running out covering point men is not a system that makes sense for this team imo.

I never saw him play but since he was my dads favorite player Id be cool with him having the record.

you always show up and complain about the same guy. literally the whole team sucks but you only have eyes for K'Andre. Your post history... just say it out loud guy
It's interesting, when Girardi and Staal were on the team those guys got endlessly, and I mean every game, trashed by any number of posters even as they were at least beating the shit out of themselves to play the position correctly. One guy on here does that to K'suck and there must be other reasons for it. He deserves all the trashing he gets.

With Staal and Girardi, it was a lack of brains and talent, not a lack of effort.

These guys know better and can do better; they just choose not to.

Way to make me feel ancient, kid!!!! I only caught the end of his career. He was a little guy with a lot of heart. He was part of that St. Louis expansion team that nearly pulled off the ultimate Stanley Cup upset against the Canadians....although they were swept, all the goals were decided by 1 goal and they were led by two goalies close to 40 years old: Glenn Hall and Jacques Plante.

Defensive responsibility has been an issue since Panarin arrived. Think back to the Covid play-in series against the Canes in 2020. It’s a team-wide problem though, not just Panarin.

They need a coach whose predominant focus is defense. There need to be repercussions (benchings, healthy scratches, trades) for the players unwilling or incapable of playing the right way. The bad habits need to be purged.

It's very important to understand: the guys on the ice play how they want to play.

They choose to play this way. This is what they want. This is on purpose.

Best post in the entire thread.

Chris Kreider isn't even trying to hide the fact that he will simply not put more than 5 explosive strides together. It's just not happening.

This is the continuation of f*** you, boss man.

Either Drury's gotta go or they have to start buying out some of the old guard. What an absolute, unmitigated dumpster fire this organization has become.

First, if you're trying to imply that I don't like Miller because of his ethnicity, you're an asshole. I have been on this board in its various incarnations since before Y2k. I have never once had nor verbalized a dislike for any player other than for what they bring on the ice.

Except hyphenated last names. Those rub me the wrong way for some reason. I know you're 50% of each but you can't walk through life being heads AND tails. Make a call and go with it. History will show I am right here. Mats Zuccarello had way more success than Mats Zuccarello-Aasen. How the f*** would you have fit Jonathan Audy-Marchessault on the Stanley Cup? You don't get two spaces, bud. Stop being the giant fat guy on the airplane and sit in the space the ticket you paid for gives you.

I have been saying it all along. I have not turned on him. I called this player out for what he was way back. He makes bad reads, he takes bad risks, and the unforgiveable part is that HE DOES NOT LEARN FROM HIS MISTAKES.

I want him to be a better player and if he reaches his potential, I will be very happy. I will come here and tell you all I was wrong and be happy to do so.

So maybe Tortorella will get him to his potential next year. That or he will break him and get him the F out of here. I'm ok with either way. I just can't tale what we have with him right now.

If their play really is a middle finger to Drury, as some here believe, other than the Trouba's wife thing, what has he done to deserve this ?

Drury can go - I still need most of the legacy players from 4-5 years ago off this team. Chris Kreider had one true standout season in his career. Who TF are you to “quit” because you don’t like your GM? You’re Sidney Crosby or Connor McDavid all of a sudden? You don’t even wear the C; you turned it down because it would be too much “pressure”. Get f***ed. It’s been said a million times before but Panarin isn’t the problem himself, because a Panarin or Pastrnak or Kucherov CAN play east-west and sort of do what they want. Their free lancing is justified based upon their superlative skill. For some reason, the entire team thinks they’re all equally talented and guys who had literally the simplest job in hockey (Kreider - choo choo! down the wing and then go to the crease) decided we should all try cross ice knee high saucer passes through three defenders and pass up uncontested shots. I just want them all gone. Igor can suck a fart. I’m virtually positive that his tantrums combined with his “pay me the mostest ever” attitude contributed to some of the rift in the room. This group is just so difficult to like. Guys I loved have become detested. The few who actually remain likable aren’t good enough to get excited about. When Will Cuylle is your most enjoyable and effective player under the age of 27… you’re f***ed.
