It’s not just about usage with Henrique and Skinner. The coach plays who he has. Last 3 years our bottom 6 forwards in McLeod and Foegele took a regular OT shift. This year we’re back at the Oilers having a great top 6 and a poor bottom 6. We went backwards this offseason.

You can’t change the past but you gotta offload these 2 and upgrade if you have any hope of competing for a cup.

I seldom do this but a rare time I'll critique a McD game. Really only noticeable on PP. Quiet game, forcing plays, giving up puck. Not a great game from Hyman either. Seemed like what the OIlers were getting was mostly from Drai line.

Oilers have been tempting fate with just good enough efforts for a couple weeks and winning close games. Bit them today. Stellar work from the D, some of them, though. Thought Emberson, Kulak, Ekholm had decent games, not really the rest...

WTF is it with booing great players? I don't get it. You'd think a fanbase that got Gretz from us would understand not to do this. Did they boo Michael Jordan coming into town?

Lets not fib LA fans. Without the Oilers you'd be less than a footnote. Only reason for a sellout really. Its not to see your tired club.
Mcdavid was t great but kings were allowed to hold and haul him down all game

Coach could've played Kapanen or Podkolzin or literally anyone else, he's just not the brightest bulb in the pack when it comes to coaching offense. Opting to "play it safe" with Henrique and losing the game because of it is a lot of Knob's offensive philosophy when he doesn't have access to McDrai in a nutshell.

On the positive side....Kapannen has not looked out of place since joining the team....Solid move by management there.

I was going to specifically ask about Orr too.

Wasn't until the 3rd period where these Kings fans figured they should be booing Drai. he's the one usually killing ya.

Kings had no answer for Drai. Even with him playing with hand me downs the line had it going. They simply have no forward taking puck away from Drai anymore. They try...
Half of these fans wouldn't know a hockey game from a rodeo.

They just don't have any pushback for when games get physical. Though I supose swapping Skinner for Kane should address most of those issues.

On that note, they really need to end the Jeff Skinner experiment. Skinner-Henrique just doesn't work: Too small and too slow. It also doesn't help that the 3rd line suddenly starts looking like world beaters when they go back to Henrique with Janmark and Brown...

It's fine to say Kapanen has stolen his spot as the "tweener" offensive option and call it a day.

You can tell Skinner called over the ref to let him know his mask was off when the kings exited the zone. For whatever reason refs blew him off and kings enter the zone amd score..

Again Skinner with an .860 save percentage. And je should of had the OT goal. Clear shot from 40 ft out should be a routine save

Sorry folks the kings will beat us this year in the playoffs this year esp with that kind of reffing. Writing is on the wall after that Lost

He sometimes "loses the net." On that OT winner he was way off to the right?? Or did somebody else see it differently?

This Oilers team beats that LA team in 4, I guarantee it. The Oilers lost a game to LA last year too.

Nurse has been great the past month, but that ridiculous attempt at defending in OT literally backed right next to the goalie instead of simply getting a stick and body of Byfields shot.

Skinner also is trash. Find a better goaltender man. This guy isn't even as good as Pickard.

Be careful, there are some posters here that might call you a "casual" for stating facts. 😆
