An incredible career of Sergei Bobrovsky

What does Price have to do with anything in this thread? Bobrovsky has had an up and down career but more very good ups and the HHoF is very likely.

Strange comment and reaction...

Both goalies played in the same era, same league and were both always compared to one another at their height of their careers... Price in this case serves as a bench mark to situate where Bobrovsky stands in the hierarchy of goalies in recent history. If you ask me its only fitting to use benchmarks to situate one's career in their career thread...

And to reply to your last sentence, Price had equally or more ups and downs and his win % was worst.. and no cups but until yesterday was considered a lock for the HOF and Bobrovsky not.

Many great goalies never won a cup but he did. Someone will say he had help, yes but he was a big part of it also.

Say what you will about his play in the mid-series collapse, but he played really well when it counted most last night, and I say this as an Oilers fan. Two Finals appearances, Two Vezinas, and played amazing in a SCF Game 7. He's a Hall of Famer.

Credit to Dale Tallon, Bill Zito and the Panthers' goaltending legion/department for believing in Bobrovsky through thick and thin. I remember when everyone thought they were dumb af to sign Bobrovsky when they had just drafted Knight. Now they have a Cup, all worth it.
