That's good data, but I would measure things differently. You can have a controlled entry, and turn it over with a sloppy pass. Dump ins can also be strategic, ie getting a timely line change, or putting the puck in an area where the defender can't get it. What you measure is failure rate, were you stopped by the defender when you had possession?

If you look back to the CAR series the Rangers played, and look at Gauthier in particular.... you see why dump ins can be useful.

BTW Cole Perfetti... those numbers and the eye test are in sync. Small sample, he's a smart player with a high end processor that isn't physically gifted, yet he can get in clean time and time again. Will be harder against men, but it is a good view into which players can break a defense down with a puck on their stick, versus which players who have to utilize different tactics.

Things like this are what make the game a very beautiful sport.

Where can I stream the WJC. I know about the one week free FUBO TV trial but I need the whole tournament, one week is not enough. Any info is appreciated?

The HF guide to WJC:

- Canada will always underperform, even if they win
- Canadian defenseman that play “sound” and don’t stand out will be torn apart
- Your performance in Game 1 of the tournament is the only one posters remember. It’s what has cemented mediocre performers like Charlie Coyle in HF’s WJC Mount Rushmore
- If you have NHL experience, you’re automatically going to dominate the tournament, no matter how good of a player you actually are. Like Devonte Smith-Pelley

This made me legitimately laugh out loud.

Slovakian goalie just stood on his head for the shutout!! Slovaks win the first game of the tourney.

Edit: Simon Latkoczy is the name

Yeah, Reichel was gone by the time we were on the clock and Peterka honestly would have been a reach I'm uncomfortable with at 19/22
Yeah, the draft didn’t lineup well for either of those guys, just saying that I really like them as prospects.

This kid Brad Lambert on Finland looks legit too (who apparently after some reading I’ve learned is and has been a top 2022 guy for awhile).

Same with Lundell. Raty had a great game. You can see the Finns really feeling a sense of offensive confidence. Lundell looks like a monster player out there, a big top line two way center. Florida is going to have some really good minutes down the middle. Some of the big Finnish forwards have really gotten good at protecting pucks.
