This is wrong imo. Cable was terrrrrrrible it was like 120 a month for commercials constantly and Shows on bs schedule .

And you still rented movies every weekend !

Streaming is 10000 x better than cable even if it ends up costing the same nostalgia glasses are lying to you.
Streaming is worse, and I don’t get 4K games.
Too many services will be required as well.

You can cancel and join services as needed is the biggest win with this change.
Well still wouldn’t get the games in 4K,
and can cancel and join with cable just the same, or lessen cable package in the summer, like now. So no advantage, and worse quality.

I would say for just and only sports.
cable is currently better or the same.

Cuz you're stuck to the NHL schedule anyways and all cable comes with like a crap vcr function now so you can record it yourself

But for the rest of TV streaming is my preferred. and once hockey is in a higher quality online I won't ever use cable again probably

Streaming cut out the middleman… but prices haven’t gone down. It’s pure greed.

I would love for the NHL to do something like this. Exclusive streaming only with a company like Amazon.

I already get TNT Sports with Max. If they could incorporate it with a big conglomerate it would be amazing

Ya it would, instead will end up needing to subscribe to 6 different services.

Sure hope Amazon can improve their fast forward / rewind. Watching Thursday Night football was absolutely terrible. Shame that online NHL streaming peaked back on my ps4 with NHL.tv app. Always 60fps and perfect quality.

I am still confused by this. So now monday games are not included on Sportsnet Now or on cable (where they were national games before)?

It can't be accurate that to view all 82 games, I need cable for Wed and Sat games, Amazon for Monday games, and Sportsnet Now for the rest?

SportsNet Now premium is already like $300 Canadian. No way in hell I am paying that if I don't get access to ALL NHL games. That was the only reason I would do it is knowing if I wanted to watch a game between random teams I could

Yes, you probably need all that.

Sportsnet premium sucks balls.

If you have Amazon prime this is included, or do you need to buy something else from them ?

Anyone know if they will have those stupid f***ing blackouts?

This is included with the standard (ad supported and above) Prime membership. There are no blackouts in Canada at least, Rogers bought streaming rights nationwide as part of their deal with the NHL, this is Rogers selling pieces of those rights to Amazon as their contract begins to wrap up.
