gotta tuck Pettersson over to center there and bump up willy, imo.

I predict that he’ll be much more productive in the round robin than in the knockout round. Kane, probably does the opposite.

I predict you will look silly, although that one has already come true :)

I believe Jack Hughes will be firmly in a roster spot by the time the games start. Hughes-Matthews-Kane would be incredible.

Those are some really really good players and those teams will definitely be contenders

But McDavid, Crosby and Mack for Canad and Matthews Eichel and Kane are just in differnet tier all together

US and Canada's depth just unreal

This is why i love international hockey. no cap bullshit. straight up best players versus best players

the problem is he's not going to be ready for the olympics if he gets surgery. and lets say he's willing to play for team USA and play through his pain. Buffalo has no obligation or incentive to loan him to team USA. If he goes without their permission his contract can and most likely gets terminated. Buffalo holds all the cards right now
Im sure Eichel would have no problem walking away from his contract. The only reason he wouldn't is if he doesn't have the money for his surgery and needs a team/the NHL to pay for it.

When it comes to Olympics or any tournament with one game elimination, you just need a hot goalie and a FWD. TC is lacking a goalie like Helle and Vas.

LOL, Eichel is not walking away from 50 million. If he was so comfortable doing it, he would have done it already. There is a reason why he hasn't just gone ahead and had the surgery he wants. No agent alive is going to advise him to walk away from 50 million, unless the pain he is suffering is completely unbearable and at this point it clearly isn't.

Well, sorry, can't be happy for him. No NHLer should be attending these games IMO. I wish just one guy would stand up and do the right thing.

He can't just walk away. They have to mutually terminate the contract which Buffalo doesn't want to do.

But we got offense like nobody else.

Marner, McDavid, Crosby, McKinnon, Stamkos, Marchand, Barzal, Huberdeau, Point Scheifele, Konecny, Horvat, Seguin, Makar. Holly hell

I love best on best international hockey more than the NHL but I’m really not looking forward to this Olympics and hope that somehow the NHL players don’t end up going.

I understand that but the chances are not 0%.

He can’t play international hockey if he’s hurt. And he wants a neck disc replacement surgery which no NHLer has ever gotten and turned down the typical neck surgery. The reality is it’s gonna be a long recovery (if he even gets it) and the Olympics are 4 months away.

0% chance he’s healthy

I dunno, only two of those players have proven to be good in pressure situations.
